A good breeder in Ky?
 
Would like ideas for a good breeder in Ky to buy my first yorkie from.

You might try Rose at Kentucky Blue, she has a new litter.

Well, Conni must have beat me to it. I was going to HIGHLY recommend Dee (Sugar's Mom), though I knew she didn't have any pups right now. But, for future notice, Dee gets two :thumbup: :thumbup: from me. My Toby came from Dee.
I have heard (and seen) good things about Rose also.

oops!!!!!!!!!! You might not have been the person i spoke to on the phone awhile ago. if not sorry, I am getting senile in my old age. now that I think of it, that lady was connie from Mt. sterling. LOL I did just answer your pm tho.:)

I swear this is the weirdest thing, talk about a small world. I talked to you and didn't realize who I was talking to. Everyone I have called has been by word of mouth. I never dreamed it would be someone I've met on this site. This blows my mind (it doesn't take much):)

yes, it is a small world. I have been a member of this site since before i got my first yorkie and have sold about 21 puppies on here. I rarely sell locally. or I should say, i used to be that way. Now, I am selling primarily local when I have puppies. it beats having to ship and etc. You are more than welcome to come visit. Glad you found the woman we talked about. BTW, that little guy, Ceeby, in my avatar is the one I got from her.

I have your page bookmarked for when my brother finally decides the time is right to get my niece a Yorkie. She is absolutely in love with my Bella and wants her own "Bella". Whenever I go to visit, she has slumber parties with Bella and is an excellent little mama to her. At first I was a little leery because Bella's my baby and all, but she's actually really wonderful.:)

hi neighbor. One thing you might want to remember is that most breeders have age limitss about puppies going to children.

Oh I know :) I did alot of research when I was looking for my own yorkie and that was common as you mentioned. Even though my niece really wants her own yorkie desperately, my brother is going to put it off until she is old enough to take care of her dog herself. My niece and nephew lost their mother a little over a year ago to breast cancer so my brother isn't making big decisions right now. So when I visit I just let her baby Bella when I am there so she gets to experience what it is like to have the responsibility of having a pet.

I'm so sorry for your brother and children. I think a dog would be wonderful (maybe not a yorkie). I don't have one yet so I'm not the greatest at advice. But please feel free to email me if I can be of any help. Hopefully, by then I'll have one. Connie

BTW, I've had several conversations with Sugar's Mom. I'm sure she's a wonderful breeder. Sometimes you just know these things:)
