yes, that is what I made for Taffy and she loves it..what I was told was to put it in ice trays and freeze it, then you can put it in ziploc bags and in the freezer and you can make a good batch and thaw it out when you need it.. it works wonderful and it will not go bad in two days like when you keep it in the bottom of the fridge, you can only store it safely for up to 3 days I was told because it can go bad..that is what I was told. so that is what I am doing. hugs, cArmen in nj |
mine is very simple and easy. Two cups milk, two egg yolks, beaten, one small box of vanilla pie and pudding mix (the cook kind) and one fourth cup of sugar. Cook until thickened, cool and serve at room temp. Give her all she will eat. (as long as she is eating her regular food, too.) |
Thanks Ya'll, I will make both recipes and she which one she favors. Now is this pudding only given after mom has her babies? Or can it also be given before she whelps? :aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork |

my girl had 4 puppies and they were decent sized puppies and took a lot out of her. I sort of made up my own recipe to give her the extra calcium she needs and the extra calories so that she could get back her weight faster. Here is an idea, I never really measured but here is an idea, 1/4 cup of full fat yogurt 3-4 tbsp dyne or nutristat 2 tbspn of bone meal 1 cup of premade puppy formula (esbiliac and water mixture) 1 tablespoon of vegitable oil 2 egg yolks she gained weight fast, I gave her about about 4 ounces in the morning then at night. This was her main diet for three days because she didnt want to eat her normal food. It might be too rich for some dogs, but it worked for us and it gave her the extra calcium she needed. I did this until her puppies were about 4 weeks old and I slowly weaned her off it. |
Thanks again ya'll, appreciate all the recipes. I will try them all. :) |
