Halle had her puppies!!!!!!!!!!! Finallyafter this agonizing week for me anyway Halle has 4 beautiful babies:Today I didn't even take her temp. She has done what she does everyday for a while bark if she hears something and lay beside me in my easy chair. At 4:30est she got off my chair went in her new "big girl" bed and at 5:00 she had a baby and 15 min later had another and 15 min later another the last one was an hour but all is well I haven't weighed them or don't know sexes yet. Will let ya know later, she done great:thumbup: all we did was BE close and give her water she did it all herself. She is a wonderful MOM! Thanks to everyone for your support! :D Wow, what a great whelp! :D Congratulations to you and to Halle! Can't wait to hear details of the weights and the sexes and to see pictures of the new happy little family. The wait is over......and now the fun begins. :p |
Congratulations Paula and Halle. Wow 4 thats a good number. I can't wait to see pics and hear what she had genderwise. When you check to see what sex they are weigh them so you can make sure they are gaining weight and not losing weight. This helps so if one isn't eating and is losing weight you can intervene so that the pup stays healthy. Oh and as soon as Halle will let you Kiss those bellies.:D |
Congratulations!!! |

Hey everyone!!! Sorry I haven't been on till today. My internet was down all day yesterday. Halle and girls are still doing just GREAT:D Those lil piggies eat constantly. I have a question (yes another one) hehe I used nail polish to paint a toenail of each baby so I'd know which was which, you can't see it only the one I painted white. Does anyone use anything besides that? We go to the vet tomorrow:) Paula:p Halle:aimeeyork Brutis:aimeeyork and GIRLS:aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork |

Congratulations! They were born on the same day Princess had her puppies two years ago. Can't wait to see pictures! |
Congrats!!! |
Paula, I think some use different colored yarn. me I just got lucky and there was something visibly different with each one. Leo had a brown crescent on top of his head, Dante had a white patch on his chest. JT had nothing but he was a boy and Molly the only female. not sure what I will do this time. I just try to find some distinguishing mark on them. If that don't work this time I will have to find an alternate means of identifying them. Oh could you paint a different nail or a different nail on a different foot.. Monday I have Maggies xrays after work so then I will know how many we have in there. |
Hey Lori I thought about maybe a piece of ribbon but hubby says Halle would probably take it off:rolleyes: three of them have just a little white on their chests and the other one is all black/tan. When they get a lil bigger I'm sure I won't have a problem distinguishing one from the other but I really want to keep up with weight although I really don't think I have much of a worry as today on day 2 the smallest one is up to 5ozs and the biggest one is 8ozs:eek: the other 2 are 6ozs so everybody has gained since birth:D they are adorable! Make sure and let me know how your baby is doing!!!!!!!!! Paula:p Halle:aimeeyork Brutis:aimeeyork Baby Girls:aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork |
Paula, I can't believe I have no answer for that. I take Maggie in on Monday for her xrays and I get to find out how many we are expecting. Hopefully at least 4 like the first litter. I have 2 people who are okay with either sex and I have one that wants a male and one that wants a female. I will make a posting of the results when I get home from the vets. |
congrats! |
Good job!!! |
Hey Scrapindee I probably spelled that wrong! :p That baby on your avater is beautiful!!!! I just told hubby I want a biewer:D he said no:( we'll see! Paula:p Halle:aimeeyork Brutis:aimeeyork Baby girls:aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork |
Congrats!!!! That is just wonderful news! And four girls! WOW!!! I had 2m and 1f just two weeks ago. I have taken tons of pics and I can't wait to see yours. I'm so glad she and of course, you, had an easy whelp. That is just great! You asked about what to use to identify them. I have 3 daughters and have tons of hair stuff. Before they were born I found different sizes of elastic rubber bands, you know the really good ones that don't tear hair? Since I had no idea how many she would have and the most important thing - - - how big around their necks were going to be. So I found 5 of each color in three different sizes. When they were born, I ended up being able to use the smallest on each one. Now they are on size two and I just changed out the size of the band but kept the same color. Ta Da! Anyways, you have to be SO CAREFUL to check their necks with the bands EVERY day, so they don't tighten. And believe me, they will tighten overnight as mine were gaining over an ounce a day when they were first born. And don't try to take off the bands when you are changing to the next size. Just cut it off. It's not easy to do with their heads being so little. I started to do it with the little girl and I thought "what the heck am I doing this for:eek:!?!?" putting her through the pulling over her head and I just got the scissors. Okay, I'll quit rambling. Sorry - the rambling just happens, I can't help it. Have a great day and I hope this helps!:) Congratulations again! |
