has anyone purchased a puppy from... Mother & Daughter Yorkies? This is a mother and daughter that breeds yorkies and they are located in both KY and IN. I was just wondering if anyone has purchased a puppy from them and if they had a good experiece. |
I've never heard of them. I hope someone can help! |

I think there are some YT members that have furbabies from this breeder. I'll leave a message on their page, so they can back to you. |
aww well thank you very much! |
I checked the site. Some cute babies. It did seem that they breed smallish females but that is just a guess from the sizes they list with the pics. Do you plan to get a Biewer or traditional Yorkie? I bet it's hard to choose, huh? |
there is things i do not like about there site'to many breeds they could at least groom and make there dogs look cared for! nothing on there about parents being tested just my opinion ! |
I want just a regular yorkie:) And I believe that only the daughter breeds 3 types of dogs...and the mother does just yorkies which is who i was considering...I am calling her later today to ask as many questions as i can to see how I feel about her and her ethics on breeding. |
I do not know them personally but I sold few dog dresses to them. |
A member on here did buy a puppy from them because she told me to contact them when I was looking. The puppy mother was 12 lbs and the dad was of smaller size.........she stated the puppy would be around 5 to 6 pounds, however he looked already 10 lbs by the picture. They seemed really nice, they did send updated pictures of the boy, but with clothes on...I do wonder why they did this, but after posting my concerns here on YT I started looking else where. (12lbs gets to me, not the standard of AKC) |
There are 3 of here that I know of who have bought puppies from Lynn, the Daughter from Mother Daughter Yorkies. As far as I know and I do have contact with the other 2 members, all 3 yorkies are very healthy. My Abby is 9.5 months old and has not had any problems, other than she had bilateral hernias, but I was told about this in advance and gave me a discount on her price, incase she had to have surgery to repair them. Luckily for us, they repaired themselves :) She now weighs 5 lbs and is a complete joy! I cannot say that I totally agree with how these breeders do everything, but I do think they take good care of thier dogs. I haven't regretted buying Abby for one second! Abby's Mother is Tootsie and weigh 10 lbs! I thought that was big for a Yorkie too, but I knew nothing about yorkies really when I bought Abby. I had just lost my male Yorkie Peanut, who was a rescue and desperately wanted a puppy. Abby's Father is Baby Beau, who weighs 3 lbs. I think Abby looks like him. Both were sweet and affectionate when we went to visit. I would not recommend them nor would I say not to get a puppy from them. As I said, Abby is Healthy and Beautiful...what more can you ask for? She has a cobby body and short little legs. She also has a very gorgeous full coat, although somewhat cottony. When someone asks for a breeder in this area, I do tell them about Lynn, but I also share my concerns about her. These things I learned after buying Abby and joining YT. Would I buy another puppy from her? Probably not, but because I don't ever really plan to buy from a breeder again. There are too many dogs in shelters...I will rescue, just as I did with Peanut and Daisy. Again, I'm thrilled with Abby :) Hope that makes sense. I wanted to add that I liked Lynn and she spent a lot of time talking to me and answering questions. The day I picked Abby up, she spent over an hour with me going over puppy care, etc.. |

I have actually decided not to go with these breeders after hearing some things on here and am still searching for a breeder, but I am taking it a little slower and when the right one comes around I'll know their the right one for me:) |
