Can the mother feed them to much? They are round, round, round. Even their faces look fat. They will be 3 weeks old Monday.

I didn't realize how actually fat they are until my DIL saw them last night and was amazed.

Daisy weighs 1 lb 3.6 oz
Rosie weighs 1 lb 0.1 oz

I don't know if you can tell how fat the are from the pictures.
Pictures are: 1st Daisy, 2nd Rosie.

Tayla only had 2 little angels and they started out at 3 oz. they were 16 and 17 oz. at 3 weeks. The male is so fat we call him chunk. Once they get to moving well they should thin down.

Often puppies in a small litter will be much fatter cause they don't have to compete for food like in a larger litter

OMG they are the cuttest little things! I think cubby is good!! They are getting enough to eat plus don't have to worry about low blood sugar from not enough food..

They look great and very healthy. That is a wonderful size for a 3 week old puppy. They will slim out and slow down as they get up and moving around. They are beautiful!!

Wow what little fatty's they are. LOL. They are so cute. And as someone else says, I think its because they dont have to much competiton for the food.

They are sooooooooooo cute.

They're 4 1/2 weeks old now and they're growing by leaps and bounds.

The first two are of Daisy and the other are Rosy

Cute. They were almost as big as my 9 week old at 3 weeks. She is 1 lb 6 oz. They are so cute though. How big are the parents?

Right now, Daisy weighs 1 lb 11.3 oz and Rosy weighs 1 lb 7.2 oz.

The father weighs about 3 1/2 lbs and the mother weighs about 5 lbs.

This is Ciara's 2nd litter. None of the puppies in her first litter were this big. The sire of the previous litter was my 3 1/2 lb Caesar. The sire of this litter is a UKC champion that belongs to someone else.
