Would she be considered a Parti? My 6 month old pup is waaay lighter than my other yorkies who are blue/gold. Would she be considered a Parti or Parti Carrier? http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...ographs039.jpg |
She looks like a regular yorkie to me. She could be a carrier. Did your breeder say she was a carrier? |
I don't see any parti charactoristics. I think she's just a lighter colored yorkie. Ramsey's head is darker than hers...but her body is colored exactly as yours. Partis and biewers have ticking (freckles) on their bodies and the roofs of their mouths. |
I don't know but she sure is cute! |

thanks for this statement....i wandered about that...my Smokey is a splitter....50/50 yorkie/biewer.....and he has the ticking(freckles) on his chest....at first i thought they were actually ticks....looks like it till you inspect them....lol....and they call it freckling?.......cool....just another reason for him to be part of this family.....lol....thanks.....OP....to me she looks like she could possibly be a carrier....my reason for saying this is that her coloring is what some breeders call washed out....it happens in biewers sometimes if their is not a breeding back to a standard yorkie in the generations....that is why some breeders will use a splitter and a pure biewer to get richer colors in the biewer pups.....i just love her face....so so cute |

Any dog with a pie bald gene has ticking. Maltese, dalamations etc. Smokey probably has more than just on his chest. You can really see Reggie's "freckles" when he's wet. He is loaded with them. Even his toes are freckled...some are pink and some are black. |
hi my tanner is light like your puppy...not a parti just lighter |
she looks like a regular one to me...who instead is more silver than steel blue or blue...like my Tootsie... i have a parti gene carrier male who's gold is rich in color and steel blue...only difference is that he has a white chest and chin...hehe...too cute! |
