Looking for someone in Richmond, VA who can looking for some one who is knowledgable in docking yorkie tails in the richmond va area i really want to learn and would like to see it done..i have a litter due any day |
Well to my knowledge it is against the law to dock you own puppys tails .. you really need to take them to the vet and get them done it does not cost that much to do the whole bunch . If you do it yourself and have no medical training they could bleed to death.. you might want to check into that... good luck with your new babies.. |
its not illegal:) i have seen it done via the internet, talked to breeders on here that do it and my mentors do it but my mentors live about an hour away i do have some vet tech experience..i know what to do but i would like it shown to me up close and personal |
It's quite easy to do and an experienced breeder could show her how to do it properly. Though, if you don't find anyone you could still do it by following instructions. Unfortunately I'm in Florida...but hopefully someone will come along closer. |
it is quite easy to do as mentioned and NO it is not illegal. i have heard of more puppies bleeding to death at the vet than tjhose whose breeders do it. The twist and clamp method is bloodless. i wish i lived near you. We would do it in a heartbeat. |
thanks and thanks dee i know you would...hey dee could i call you when im ready and you walk me through it? i bought the clamp today and the scissors today..i need the quick stop stuff..is there anything else i need? |
