When can you tell if your girl is pregnant My baby girl Halle might be pregnant, it will be her first litter if she is. I was wandering when they start showing as we've never experienced this before.They last locked on 8/30. I would greatly appreciate your comments. I'm excited but very nervous. She is my baby. She is about 8 pounds and my baby boy is about 4 pounds. |
When was the first tie? That will be the date you need to use to determine her due date. Generally dog do not start showing until very late in the pregnancy. She may show signs that would indicate that she is in fact prego, but the same signs (enlarged teats, change in behavior or some sickness) may be shown by a dog coming out of heat or experiencing a false pregancy, so you really can't judge for sure by those. |

There is even a chart (the Java Due Date) that can estimate your females due date with a week by week chart of things to expect and do. Also, google "yorkie whelping" and lots of information will come up. Read, read, read, for the next 8-9 weeks to prepare for your possible upcoming litter. Usually by six weeks you can tell that they are pregnant. If she is only carrying one pup it may be later that she shows. Good luck! |
usually i look at the vulva, if its still a little swollen about 3-4 weeks after the heat, then most likely she is pregnant. Also I look at the nipples, if they turn pinker and bigger around the 4th week. But that is not a sure sign, I wait to get excited until i see the puppies moving and shes gets a bigger belly. |

Ultra sound My vet charges $25.00 for an ultra sound and it can be done 35-45 days from the first mating. Good luck:) |
