Yes, that is Jeff Dane's site. He is a big time puppymiller. If I remember correctly, in one thread, someone had actually gone to his property and there were cages upon cages of dogs. But he meets the minimal requirements by the USDA which is why he gets away with it.:(

Your friend won't be receiving any support from him.:mad:
I do hope her puppy is able to be treated and on the mend soon!!

Why would anyone pay $5000- $10,000 $$'s for a pet?? That should tell you to stop and think about this guy not being what he says he is!!! These so called Breeders give really fantastic Breeders a bad rap. I feel so bad for your friend and eveyone who runs into these kind of people. I agree if we don't talk about him and others like him, All the new people interested in the breed are liable to go to him/them for a puppy and be hurt. Getting the word out and our concern for the puppies is the only way to STOP this from happening again!!! I'm behind you guys all the way... Talk about it!!! :aimeeyork Baron and his Angry Mom

I saw him being interviewed; the guy is very good at convincing "some" people he's a true animal lover. He tells of his first Yorkie who sob, sob, died, and I think, people for some reason believe in him. "He's such a sweet dear man", I can just hear them saying. I saw a letter he wrote to one of our members that brought out his true side.

Did your friend take the pup to the vet when she got it? I just wondered if she followed al of the sales contract. Plus if the pup got to her sick, the vet should of been able to tell ya. Also the contract doesnt look like it was created by an attorney, so double check the laws in Tx. Search it on the web, they should have some kind of clause on it. Sorry I hope the baby makes it thru.

Thus proving that meeting the requirements as a USDA breeder doesn't amount to a hill of beans....:rolleyes:

I couldn't agree more!! I sure wish USDA would change their requirements and become more strict. We might have less puppy millers getting by then.

Well,

I have been looking at this guy's website :(......I feel so bad for these pups. I have had my bf look at them and we both agree something is seriously wrong with those pups. It is a bad situation! I am so unhappy about this and wish that someone could close this "puppy mill" down. I have been researching about puppy mills; because when I bought my BaileyLouise I didn't know if the lil lady was running a puppy mill.....apparently she isn't! Apparently she is just older and has a lil too many pets.....Bailey actually lived in the house with her until I brought her home with me! I would think that is not what puppy mills do. It is not like I got Bailey for hardly nothing either because we did pay the correct amount for her. I just really never knew what puppy mills were until I came here! BTW? I am a new member here and enjoy reading the forums.....I am here every day learning new things :)

welcome to YT...glad you found us! can't wait to see pictures of Bailey!

and puppy mill owners barely have any contract with their breeding adults or puppies...the only time would probably be when they hand the puppy over to the buyer for the money

he needs shut down.. maybe he can be used as an example
where are the inspectors and the IRS? I say pleaase investigate
the sick puppies he brokers out all ovber the internet..someone please save those puppies

Too late - found out about this site from the vet - I the cutest puppy in the world but have been to the vet 5 times in 2 weeks - not sure if hes gonna make it - have to feed and water by hand every 2 hours for the last 2 weeks :( - dont know what to do but not gonna give up. Thanks for the info - gonna try and do something.
