How do we sell them??? This is my first litter of yorkie puppies and I love them more and more every day. I do not know how I am going to deal with letting them go and picking only one to stay. At what age do you sell your babies? and how do you deal with it. They are 4 weeks today and sweeter and sweeter everyday. Mommy does not feed them maybe once a day they are doing good at eating their soft food. I will miss them. |
welcome to YT :yorkietal I know that yorkie puppies ideally need to stay with their mom until at least 12 weeks old. Yes, it would be very hard to give up these sweet puppies. However, knowing that they are going to good homes and will be well care for helps. :aimeeyork |
puppies It gets easier to place them after a few months of cleaning up non-stop poop and all the ripping a tearing they do...I really enjoy seeing them come and seeing them go..LOL I raised three pups this year...one left at 5 months and the other at 7 months...now I can enjoy the one who stayed..Pinkee. |
The only pups I had to let go were doberman's. And I was happy to see them go to wonderful homes. But that was years ago.. now I only have my 3 little ones. |
Don't believe the hype! I sell all of my puppies at 6 weeks of age. Sell them on Puppies for Sale, Dogs for Sale and Dog Breeders. 90% of my customers come from puppyfind. Anyone who tells you that you have to keep them for 12 weeks is either a liar or an inexperienced idiot. |

Yes socialization does continue but the initial socilization is done from their mother up till 10 to 12 weeks of age. I'm not sure why you feel the need to be so rude and call me an idiot but if it makes you feel better go ahead and call me names it really doesn't bother me at all. I do whats best for my puppies and letting them go at 6 weeks IMO is crazy! |
Ok. I'm done. |

OMG I swear this "breeder" must be joking!?? Letting them go at 6 weeks? I can see letting them go at 10 weeks if they are a good size and not super tiny and are socialized. You know what? I got my first Yorkie at 12 weeks,he was well socialized,he slept through the whole night on the second night and was a perfect baby. My second puppy was a Maltese and I got her at 8 weeks old BIG mistake. She cried and cried and searched for what seemed to be her mommy.I had toys, warm pad and all the things she needed. She was shy and just didnt know how to interact with usfor a very LONG time. My third dog..another Yorkie he was almost 10 weeks old when we got him and he whimpered the first week or so and he was ok after that. I rather WAIT until they are 10-12 weeks old. The puppy is simply more mature and independant at that age. I see this thread about to get shut down.Calling someone an idiot? Genie Cookie,Lola,Angel,Lucky |
Please let me know where in Tennessee you are located so I can tell everyone not to buy from you. Are you serious or just being silly, cause any responsible and knowledgeable breeder knows they can't leave before 12 weeks, some may let them go a week or 2 early but at 6 weeks...you need to go back to yorkie 101:(:thumbdown |

This was not the only thread this person was being mean on. |
Yeah, I just want to jump in here before it gets closed;) Calling names is totally uncalled for, even if you disagree. We are all adults here and entitled to the safety to voice opinions without stooping to the level of name calling. 6 Weeks???? For the health/safety/socialization of the puppy this can't be a positive decision. The yorkies are still so small, the breeder should want to nurture and protect them while they are able to grow into strong little munchkins :p |
