Stud Dog TOO Big!!!!
 
I have just come back from my friends house and im really upset with them and im not speaking to them!!!!
They have 2 x 1 year old Tea Cup Yorkies (very small) and 1 x Minature Stud Dog. the stud is only 8 months old but was trying to get one of the girls when i was there. I said you CANT let him mate with the girls he is TOO big,you need to seperate him and the girls before something happens - WELL,
my ex-friend has said its ok to mate them!!!! Ive told her that dog will seriously injure the girls ive told them you CANT let it happen - its cruel. When she wont listen and i feel so sorry for the girls, i dont know what to do, but im really worried about the tiny girls - WHAT SHOULD I DO????

How much does that Stud dog weigh ? How much do the girls weigh?
If she has bred those girls before then she knows exactly what she is doing and nobody can tell her how dangerous it is to breed such small bitches.
Hope those girls will be ok but it is out of your hands...

The stud weighs about 7lb ! One girl about 2lb and one the tinest at about 1lb! No she have neve bred those tiny girls, = they need to get the daughter through uni and need the money - how sad ! Ill never speak to them again if the breed the dogs!!!!!

OMG! You don't have to be a breeder to know that a 2 lb and 1 pd dog should not be bred!!!! -- regardless of the size of the stud!!! Your ex-friends have no regard for the welfare of those little girls. They should be taken away from them immediately! :mad::mad:

That is so terrible. I can't believe people think that will work. I'm not sure there is anything you can do. Some people are so hard headed and will not think ahead before its to late.

Oh I feel so sad for those tiny dogs. I think this is about the worst thing I have heard about someone breeding. It just makes me sick to be honest

Amazing how dumb some people can be. How the heck do they think such a big dog would look mating with such a small one. This just leaves me speechless. They are looking at the possible $$ in hopes of paying their daughter's university fees?

I wonder if its even possible for a 7 lber to mate with a 1 lber.

If those poor little gals are lucky the sperm will be too immature to result in a viable pregnancy. Using an 8 month old stud is just stupid as is breeding such tiny gals. You can't save some people from their stupidity, they simply don't want to know better. The whole situation is so sad and I'm sorry that you're in the midst of it.

This is exactly what I am thinking. I can't imagine it "fitting" if you know what I mean. My Cali is 1 lb and 3 oz and I can't imagine a dog of ANY size being able to mate with her ... not that I would ever allow that to happen but I'm just making a point about the size.

I hope the 2 little girls will be alright.

I know I'm a newbie, but why don't you call the animal humane society and ask them if there's anything they can do for the welfare of the poor little dams.

i don't even think it is possible being that the stud would be too tall to even come close to her to mate...he will try but i doubt it would happen...but then again things do happen...

first there's no such thing as a teacup yorkie. 2nd the females must always be bigger! ALWAYS. Because the babies may be way too big for her to have. Would you really want to put your puppy through a painful c section. Soudns like you're Yorkies are too small for breeding.

I have to say I know nothing about breeding but even I know you NEVER breed a dog of any kind smaller than 5 Lbs

I know how you feel there is ads in our local paper all the time about teacups makes me want to cry...Here I am worring, thinking, studing, scared to bred my Sofie next Year (If I even do) and she is 5 lbs 3.5 oz. I fear she is just to small to bred...I myself never have had a Yorkie as small built as my Sofie small....And she is my home bred. I wonder why people would put their babies lives at risk over money or greed. Not me...I hope the breeding doesn't take. I know it's hard to sit back and know something like this is going on. But sometimes things happen that are just beyond our control. Lee

Maybe you could print all the responses off of here and put them in their mailbox. :) Breeding dogs that small is insane...especially to a daddy that big. I'm with the rest of the posters...hopefully his sperm is too immature to impregnante the females.

I don't think the mechanics will work if you have the sizes correct but let's assume they will. What your friend needs to know is that there is almost no chance a litter would carry to term in a bitch this size. More likely will be an internal rupture resulting in infection, sepsis, and death. It's going to be hard to show a profit with those results. She might be better off to just get a part time job. Or a clue!

you don't have to get angry - it's easy to misread a post. She said what she said nicely & she's right - there is no such thing as a teacup - but that aside....You're so right - your friend is being a very VERY careless person.

I don't understand how people think it's no big deal to 'let' dogs mate. There's already far too many dogs needing homes yet people are breeding like there's no tommorrow :(:(:(

You're right to be upset ...I'd be upset too. The bad part is - alot of people will do exactly what they want to do regardless...
