Now I'm being threatened.... So I've posted my story on here before about our little baby Bennigan. We bought him from Millionaire Mutts in Las Vegas. I made a Myspace page and a website about our story, trying to raise awareness about our experience, puppy mills and petstores. Well, now I'm being threatened by the owner's friends. It's amazing how someone can treat you so horribly and then when you come forward and voice your story, you're in the wrong? Everything I have said is true and I have every right to share my story and opinions. Well, this is for all of you out there that are having issues with bullies (I can't believe how many of them there are in the Yorkie/dog world). Don't let them intimidate you into backing down! Sorry if some of you don't agree with how I'm handling this, but they treated me horribly and that poor little puppy suffered so much. In my opinion, this store should not be selling puppies that they get from all over the country. And trust me, I have exhausted other resources reporting them to BBB, Humane society, etc. This is the website I made: www.millionairemutts.org |
They're actually threatening you ? Those jerks should go suck an egg. a really BIG egg and I hope they choke on it. GOOD FOR YOU Putting the word out on them - just their name screams of arrogance to me - People like that are only looking at the bottom line.... which is GREEN. that poor puppy. :( I'm so sorry you had to go thru all that and may he rest in peace. |
rats - I tried to edit but forgot to add this - They are brokers. I just looked at your site and read about little Benjamin :( maybe you could add some info about puppy BROKERS vs Breeders. Those people are probably making buttloads of money and probably dont care what kind of breeder they're buying from. It's a huge business ....but lots of people don't know this is a common practice :thumbdown....with all the people buying puppies online now - it's a big red flag when a broker is involved...as you just found out the hard way. I'm very sorry for your loss. |
Thanks I was expecting some criticism on here for my approach, but someone needs to put this out there! And yeah, I'm still working on the page and will add some info about puppy brokers. |
I'm glad you are taking this horrible situation and turning it into a positive by making people aware. I would contact your local sheriffs department and make them aware that you are getting threats…just in case. |
Oh my he was so small.... forced fed? You know I was on a waiting list for a male puppy and the breeder informed me I could not have him because he was way too small. Thank God for Dee for being honest with me. I have to say your puppy should have never been sold being that small. Also with all of the research and reading I have done since then I am more aware of the issues, the difference in a good yorkie breeder and bad yorkie breeder, problems that come with yorkies (teeth, liver shunts, etc.) and who not to buy from. This board is not only great to have around to chat but also it can be a great tool to learn about the breed. I'm sorry that you have to deal with this and your poor little baby that had to fight for his life. |

To show I'm not unreasonable, today I am mailing out another copy of Bennigan's necropsy to the store. I will be happy to tell people how they handle the situation, I'm not here just to badmouth, I hope I have something positive to report. |
You won't get any criticism from me I'm right there with you...My heart hurts so bad for these precious babies...And to think you adopted one not knowing. I feel for you. I loved your site...Keep up the good work...If it would make 1 couple/person stop and think before they adopt a puppy then it is worth it all. :) Lee |
I hope you're trying to recoup some of your money from them. I know it doesn't replace Bennigan but you've got to hit them where it hurts them! I live here in Vegas and know that place. My Mia came from Petland (before we knew about puppymills) and we encountered a very similar situation. Don't let them harass you. Please post everything you can about them.
