Will be small 4-5 pounds, little face, and
precious personality. He does have what they like
to call the Yorkie Shake, which this is my first
experience with, but it is like the Chihauhau
tremble, no health problems are liked to it, but
keeps them out of the show ring for sure. What is the "Yorkie Shake"???
Has any of you Experienced & Show Breeders ever heard of it?
What causes it?
Is it Bred into the Yorkshire Terrier Breed?
Is it Gentic?
Can it be bred out of a line?
I never heard of the "Yorkie Shake" before....Never seen it, so it has me question what it is....I tried to look it up on the internet, couldn't find anything. Please I'd love to learn about this. :) Lee |

What causes it? Fear or health issues
Is it Bred into the Yorkshire Terrier Breed? NO!
Is it Genetic? Possibly
Can it be bred out of a line? If it is genetic, why introduce it into a line to harm the temperament of the puppies born from that dog and then litters born from those dogs. One problem can have a ripple effect for a long time to come.
Everyone here is right. This is a scared dog! I ran a all breed rescue for 2 1/2 years. I have seen German Shepard so scared they refused to pick up their own head. Shaking ( if not for heath reasons) is fear. If you only wanted a pet I am sure you could bring the little one out of it's shell. I kept the worst of my foster cases. A little mix beaten near death. She stayed with me :) she is still shy and if someone yells she dashes for cover. Other than that she is WONDERFUL but I have had her for FIVE years.
Unless you have tons of time and love for a dog like this and won't breed it. I would find another little one.
Best wishes to you and to that poor little pup. |
