Breeders Beware I just received an email from someone who has been interested in my pups. Does this sound like a scam or what? I told him that I wasn't comfortable handling someone else's money and that if he wanted to pay an agent he would have to do so himself. With all the scam artists around now days you can't be too careful so I canceled the sale. What do you think? Hello Lady, Thanks for the mail, and also thanks for being interested in selling your puppy to me i really appreciate it,am from california..i will like to purchase the puppy for my son,i am okay with the price of the puppy $1,000,as for the payment i will instruct my client in the state that his owing me some money to issue out a money order of $2,000 USD to you in your name and send it down to your address so immediately you get the payment you will deduct the cost price for the puppy $1,000 and send the remaining balance which is the sum of $1,000 to the shipping agent that will come to your location for the pick up of the puppy, send me your zipcode of your state...... hope to hear back from you soon... Thanks jens |

Hi there just to let you know i work for a bank and deal with scams all the time. I can say that i am absolutely good at detecting scams. This is 100% a scam. The person who is wanting to send the "$1,000.00" in a check for $2,000.00 and have to cash the check off your account for the purchase and wire or send money back is hoping you are stupid and will do so as the check will bounce as a fake check and you would be giving $1,000.00 in real money from your account. As for you and your bank if they did not notice the check was fake then they would do as you asked by either cashing the full check or deposit to your account. Once the check came back from processing they would deduct 2,000.00 from your account and also give you a charge back fee. I recommend that you have them send you money through paypal or cash in hand..... Hint.. Hint.... Cashiers checks, money orders and official checks are not guaranteed as they use to be as people have learned the design of these items and will send them to you instead of a personal check. My guess is they would be trying to send you one of those items to make you think it was legit. Im proud of you for realizing this before excepting and processing this item. |
Yes, this is a scam, I have seen it several times. They always say they are sending you more and that they want you to sent the difference back which in reality, you are just giving them free money as their check is a fake. These scammers just make me so angry!! |
Definately a scam! |
tami, it is a scam. i got almost the same email a few months ago. the man had emailed me several times showing interest in my puppy for "his son in California". Then I got this email. I told him sorry, i do not ship my puppies that far. That ended that. |
Scam, they don't even want the dog, they just want you to give them the $1000.00. Some people think because their bank will cash it, it's a good check, and it could take several months before the bank figures out it's a bogus check, but you would still be responsible. I saw a similar case on Judge Judy, and she showed no pity for the victim. |
Lol Hello Lady...who addresses a person like that..? |
I thought the same thing, it's a very shabby way to address someone. |

Definitely a scam. That is not the way honest people conduct business. |

Hi, I just read the breeding forum for information; I don't breed, and have no first hand knowledge and very little second hand. If you need help with your profile page or making an animated avatar, I can offer a hand. I'm also pretty good at discussing Judge Judy cases. :D |
scam That is the way the Nigerian scammers talk...it is almost correct, but then you notice an odd word or phrase... Americans say.."send my your zip code"..we know it is a state.. |
