Puppy Watch Continues..... 4 Attachment(s) :2hearts2: Okay so Peyton continues to go up and down and back up on her temp. She has not started nesting yet and she has a slight pant. I have not noticed the loss of a mucus plug. Today is day 61 since her first breeding. She does however needs to go to the restroom alot....well at least she thinks she does??? Not sure .... she is trained to ring a bell when she has to go potty and every 15-20 minutes today she has been ringing it and having to go out. She will pee and then spend a few more minutes smelling around and then she squats again as she is going to pee....but... nothing... does she think she has to go or is she just acting different? I took some newer pictures as i said i would and i am going to attach them below. She is wayyyy bigger then she was she seems as though she grew over night.... not sure..... also i took a picture of her "pollywog" :p to see if anyone can tell me if it looks as though she is ready. If you are laying there with her and you have your hand on her tummy you can feel the puppies moving a lot .... and it is low in her tummy where they are moving..... And her tummy also tightens up tight and becomes a little looser.....All comments and suggestions welcome. :2hearts2: |
I like to leave it to the breeders - they are usually completely accurate. My unexperienced bet? - tomorrow night -. Good luck. I will be sending some prayers your way for a healthy (and fun!) whelp. |

If she is squatting like she has to pee every few minutes I would say she is fixing to go in labor, it probably won't be much longer. Usually they do that allot right before labor.:) Also they will sometimes loose their mucas plug during one of those "squats" My female did that and about 8 hours later we had a baby! |

Thank you for asking about her. She is doing quite well. Today is actually her 2nd birthday!! She was spoiled with plenty of birthday treats!! She has completely returned to normal. She hears every noise and barks at it - as normal. She is such a good guard dog. I am so happy that she is back to her normal spunky self. Please keep us posted about the pups! |

In my exsperience my females alway's start squatting like they are peeing every few minutes. And then the birth of the puppies is hours after that. And also the babies will start moving allot right before the brith as they are moving into the birth canal. Usually when the female has contractions the tummy will tighten for a few seconds and the relax again. What is her temp at now? |

Usually you can tell when they are going into labor, and when the actual time comes you will probably know. Theses are the definite signs she is going into labor and puppies should arrive within 1-5 hours. she'll start to dig at everything, she'll pant like crazy, and won't be able to get comfortable. Diarrhea can be a sign of labor. Some people believe that that's nature's way of flushing everything out before whelping begins. She will constantly lick her vaginal area, and will probably be draining allot! |

I don't think it will be tonight unless her temp drops lower than that later on into the night. She is still on day 61 right? So she will probably wait to have them. I know it gets so hard waiting the last days it about drives you crazy! Hehe;) But when it drops and stays around the same low reading it shouldn't be anymore than 12 hours after that, that she gives birth. |
Any news?? |
