HeLp!! :2hearts2: Okay so my yorkie is due next sunday the 20th of July. Today she is on her 55th day and in her 8th week since her first breeding. I was giving her a treat and a touched her front paw and I heard and seen her growl she has never done this before. She has her milk slowly coming in and she also has a slight pant and to her that she has had for the last 3 or 4 days she also sleeps almost all day. Is the growling a sign of her close to labor? If anyone can answer this please help! She is also picky on her treats and sometimes the food. :2hearts2: |
I don't know if this will help, but my girl is 5 weeks (from breeding) and last night I was rubbing her belly and she nipped at me. She has NEVER done anything like that before. She wasn't hard with her nip, but it was more of a just leave me alone kind of nip...or don't touch me there. I know from other posts, they say that sometimes the milk comes in about a week to ten days before whelping. Hopefully there will be more posts from people who are experienced with this sort of thing. Good luck! |
My girl got very moody the last week or 2 before she gave birth. She would snap at my other dogs all of of the time and start fights for no reason. Now she is back to her old self. Good luck with mama! :) |

Yeah, the sleeping thing is VERY normal. All my girls do is sleep for the last 1-2 weeks before giving birth. Keep us posted...I can't wait to see those babies. Do you have a picture of the mom and dad, I would love to see them?:) |
I bet you are so excited ! My Casper is going to be a Daddy for the first time in a couple of weeks, and I am excited even although the bitch isn't mine, lol !!! ;) I never did get the pleasure myself as one of my girls reabsorbed her pups and was too old to try again...so I have two speyed girls and two entire males...(at the moment) Best of luck ! |
