incontinent at end of pregnancy?? My girl is due July 9th, had x-ray yesterday and has 2 puppies. Today since early morning she appears to have urunary incontinence-is constantly squatting and releasing small acounts of urine. Temp is 100 and she's otherwise behaving normally, like my girls usually do at this stage with occasional digging in her box. Has anyone out there seen this urinary situation before? |
I haven't experienced that, but maybe someone has. Bumping this up for you. |
Lola has been doing that today.Peeing very small amounts and sometimes she squats and a few drops come out and she's done.Today she did something she's never done. She peed on my bed and pooped there too. She's due next weekend.I was thinking that she's peeing small amounts because of the limited space in there just like us woman when we are pregnant and pee frequently at the end but very tiny amounts...? Don't know what else it could be Genie,Cookie,Lola & Angel |
She's having c-section right now!!! She started contractions in the afternoon and after about 1 hr I could feel little feet at the opening and headed to the emergency hospital--too many things went on today that were out of the ordinary. Sure enough, x-ray revealed a breach puppy stuck in the canal and no choice but go into c-section and hope to get at least one of the two puppies out alive. The cost of the section, for those of you who don't know, is estimated to be $2,350. I'm framing the bill to show the next people who come here suggesting that I make lots of money. |
Oh WoW! Prayers headed your way. You know , I used to wonder myself How much could it cost to have puppies? Why are they sooo much ?! Unless you experience it yourself then you will understand and this is the case with me.I will NEVER ask why someone charges $1,000 for a puppy. Just all the time and work that goes into it that you don't even calculate your time and the cleaning up,waking up every hour if needed. How would you put a price on that? Please keep us posted on how the mommy and babies are doing! ((hugs))) Genie,Cookie,Lola *& Angel |
Wow that is really expensive c sections. I think most of them around here charge somewhere around $500 - $1000. Hope everything goes okay. |
I am just seeing this now and will be praying that everything comes out okay with the c-section and hopefully two healthy babies. Please update us when you get the chance. BTW - price of csection depends alot on where you live.....also, it IS a holiday and emergency vet. That's not to say that breeding is a good way of making money. You just never know what expenses will pop up besides the normal ones. |
One live puppy, no section Thanks, everyone. Somehow my girl managed to push out the breach puppy on her own before they could get her into surgery. Puppy died but she did give birth naturally to a healthy girl afterwards. This was a champion sired breeding for show hopefuls, so a big disappointment. Another of my girls had a c-section last week. They are terribly expensive here--$2000 up. |

Congratulations on the healthy girl and no C-section. Sorry to hear about the one that didn't make it. I hope your girl turns out to be beautiful with lots of show potential. |
