So......... |
Good Morning, How is Bridget this Morning ? |
No Babies yet...but OK, so Bridget is more clingy than ever before, if I stop petting her she pushes my hand to start again, this is a bit odd for her, and she is literally on our heels. Not to mention she is breathing a bit heavier this A.M. so tick...tock...tick...tock...still waiting on the puppy clock I will be honest I am glad that she did not deliver last night. My cat Ariel of 20 years had a stroke and passed away last night:( . It is so hard to think she is gone, as she has been around since I was 13... so I spent most my night caught up in thoughts over her, so at least she had her own day... So now I am ready for puppies to preoccupy my time, perhaps if we cheer her on, she will get this thing under way...lol. I need a pick me up:rolleyes: so what do you say can we do it!!! |
:cheer::cheer::cheer:go girl go :cheer::cheer::cheer: |
So sorry to hear about your cat. I am sure you will miss her. Hopefully, there will be some new puppies on the way soon! |

she is only on day 64, but still she is not showing any signs right now, has me going crazy with worry. Should I take her in tomorrow for a pit dose???A friend suggested that, but I don't know if I need to go that far... Thanks for the help... |
I know I would feel worried but even if you calculated from the day she was bred ,dogs don't go over 63 days. I'm going to qoute from WHelping book by Myra Savant R.N. " You will often hear breeders saying thing slike ,"My Litter was born on day 67." No your litter born 63 days after they were released from the ovary..That is when the clock started.You will often hear"My pups were premature,they were born on day 57" No they were born on day 63 after ovulation.Your bitch was bred a few days after she ovulated. The day of ovulation is the day the clock starts.Their clocks run 62-64 days,but the figure is actually closer to 63 days. Even reading this I dont feel 100% confident about it lol. So my calculation is July 12 for my litter. I just bought this book and it's loaded with TONS of info on reproduction,deseases,whelping and what to do during whelping. They even put different scenerios. "The perfect whelping" and "The whelping from Hell" Amazon has them for like 40% cheaper Genie,Cookie,Lola & Angel |

does this mean it is not 63 days from the tie? is it true that ovulation occurs a few days after the tie.. or one week after the tie approximately? thanks.. :aimeeyork |
