Just a update on my litter of 7

Hello. Just wanted to update you all on mama. She is doing great! She is eating 3+ times a day and taking her Tums and Vit. each day. The little pups are getting so big. She is really letting them get chubby. The 2 biggest are a boy 1lb 5oz and the girl is 1lb 4 oz .......... the smallest weight is 1lb. We cant weight till they start playing. They always sleep in a big puppy ball. Hard to get a picture with all of them.

Seven???!!!! WOW!

Congratulations, that is SUCH good news! We hear so many sad stories and it's really refreshing to read a great success story!

They were born the 16th of July.. so they are a little over 2 weeks. They are growing like weeds & starting to try and bark. :)

Mom and Dad are around 9 pounds. She just lets them eat all the time. and they love that. :animal36

Wow! 7 puppies is a bunch! I don't think I've ever heard of that big of a litter. How fun it will be when there are 7 little puppies running around! :D

Yea, I don't think it's common at all. My Bailey came from a litter of 8 :eek:

Our litter of 5
 
We had a litter with 5 little babies 1 boy and 4 girls they all are very very healthy took to vet for 6 week shot the little boy is 2.02 hes our biggest and the littlest girl is 1.07
so very very cute (did I mention they are cute) :animal36

Oh, I'm so glad to hear that you and jpatte's pups are weighing in at some hefty weights. I thought that I was raising Rotties.. My three are almost 6 weeks old and the biggest boy weights 2.04, my girl weighs 2.02, and the little boy weighs 1.11oz.. I'm not understanding the weight charts either...(because according to them :confused: my puppies are off the chart) My mom is bigger, she weighs 8lbs, and dad weighs 5, soo why are my pups so big???

SEVEN???...wow that is awesome, it looks like they are all doing great....you should be very proud of your new mama!!! Have fun watching them grow up and keep us updated on them!!

You must have been surprised.
Take Lots and Lots of pictures.

How many can she feed at one time?
Glad to hear that they are all healthy and gaining weight.

She can feed all of them... they lay on each other.. will try and get a picture of them all on there. They dont all get latched on at once .. as much as when they were smaller... I feel for her when she trys to break them from nursing... they will attack her...lol
We always thought she was odd.. because she 9 nippels...well the 9th works and she needs it now...lol

7 puppies...WOW!!!! That is totally uncommon and when it does happen, unfortunately, it's never good news for the pups.

Im thrilled to hear a happy ending came from this. You REALLY have your hands full lol.

Are you keeping any of them?

I think we are going to keep one.. maybe 2.. that is if i can talk hubby into letting me... me and kids are game for 2!

I'm so excited for your healthy litter of puppies. Our mama Muffy has had 2 litters so far, and she's had healthy litters of 6 pups each time, with no complications and no problem taking care of them. She is a great mama. You're going to have so much fun watching them grow. We kept 2 of our females and used some of the $$ from the males we sold to get our own male. I can't wait to get the breeding started. I just love yorkies and love doing the breeding part. God bless!!!

She is keeping it up very well.. the pups are 1 pound and some are a little over 1 pound.. the chubby little girl is 1 pound 4oz :animal36

Congratulations on your new arrival. Mommy looks so small with her 7 puppies hard to believe they were once all in her. :)
