Tips for raising a singleton Thanks to all of you for the response I got to losing one of Diva's puppies. It was really sad, but I know I did all I could for it and things are in God's hands. Now I only have one fat, little butterball puppy. His name is now officially Teddy because he looks like a fat little teddy bear. His eyes are beginning to open and he's just the cutest thing. However, I have noticed that when Diva leaves the bed he crawls around like he's looking for the other puppy to snuggle with. I put a small stuffed animal in there and he has the heating pad, but I wonder if it's enough. Do you have any tips for raising a single puppy to be a happy, well adjusted yorkie? |
Awww I love hearing someone else having compassion for their babies...Our mama's second litter was a singleton...He grew up to be a very adjusted smart Yorkie...He got ALL the attention, lol. I don't really know that there is anything you can do, except loving him like you do and making sure he is well socialized as he grows...We did put a terrycloth bear in his box and he snuggled with it from time to time. Don't worry so much that he is lonely..He will do fine.;) |
