Is there anyone that... Good morning! I really don't want any hateful comments just info... Has anyone bred a 3 lber out there? I was gone to a family emergency and came home to my babies making babies!!! Any thoughts. No....advice...thoughts can be ugly |
I've never seen such, but I wanted to wish you well and suggest maybe vet visits on a regular basis throughout? |
Welcome to YT. I am sorry to hear about your family emergency-I hope everything is ok now. I don't breed, but from what I do know, 3 lb yorkies are usually not bred. In your case, you might want to get her to the vet to get her checked out soon and discuss your options and the care she will need in order to have these puppies. She will probably need a C-section to get the babies out. |
My advice would be to have her spayed immediately....it's not too late. I certainly wouldn't let my 3lb yorkie have puppies.....the risks to her life wouldn't be worth taking the chance. |
My advice is take her to the vet if she is infact prego have the vet deliver them then have her spayed. |
When did this breeding happen? |
How far along is she?? What size is the male and what are his lines?? |
I am sorry to here of the emergency and hope all is well. What a scary situation for your fur baby. Good luck and best wishes! |
Over here you can get the morning after pill for them. So am sure you guys over there can get it to. |
Welcome to YT. My motto is "what is done is done", and as someone else said, "Breathe, move on." Have your vet check her. He/she is the best qualified to advise you here. There are options available, find out what they are. Be sure you like your vet because that is who you will be relying on to guide you through this and to keep your little girl safe. Keep us posted. Very best wishes to both of you. |
I am so sorry this happened to your little girl. There are so many things to consider. If your female came from a line of small free whelpers and the dad is from small lines then it is possible she could have puppies safely. Also how old is the female? If she is still very young then it would be much harder on her having pups. I have read about yorkies around 3 lbs having puppies and some do alright. One of the biggest dangers in breeding a female that small is the possibility of a ruptured uterus. If it has only been a couple weeks since she has been bred then and you were planning on having her spayed anyway then I think you should talk to your vet about having her spayed asap. I know it is a hard decision and there are risks not matter which way you decide to go. I will be praying for your baby and you. Whatever you decide I hope you keep us updated. |
She is 3.1 and he is 3.5. It has been a week since they tied. She is 14 months old we are going to the vet monday. Surely she will be fine. I hope anyway. This is hre first heat... |
glad you are seeing your vet. Good luck. |
