Who has females for sale? I am debating on wether to keep Addie or purchase a female from a different line...Please tell me what you have available.. Thanks! |
I think there are quite a few breeders with females in the YT nursery. I have a litter thats 5 weeks old, 2 of them are females. I wish you the best in your search! |
As stated above.... check out the nursery.... WE ALL HAVE PUPPIES!! :D |

But I guess your best bet is to look in he nursery part, it least it will give you some idea on who to check out. Nobody advertises puppies for sale in this section. |

Wow, you came here and asked, you were given a reply. It was merely a suggestion. I would also think most the people here on YT are far more reputuable than perhaps your local yocal doing BYB. We suggest the nursey so you can look them over see if any strike your fancy and that way you can PM the owner and ask more questions. I personally think this response was a little rude esp when you condsider this is the breeders forum, not a selling. There is a list of Yorkies for sell in 2 areas. In another forum. As far as buying a baby for breeding, I would dare say most if not all of the people here only sell to pet homes unless you are pre approved ( sound like a credit check...lol) to do more with their babies. IE they want to know they will not become a puppy machine ( not saying you will) Please understand we are all very protective of our little ones, and their babies. I know I can say from here you will be asked a lot of questions before you buy even a pet quality dog. |

Maybe some are not for sale but alot of the pup in the nursery are. The nursery is a place where breeders give others a preview of their babies until they are ready to go to the sell section. If you see something you like then PM the person OR better yet post your question in the Sale/Wanted Section. |
If you are really interested in breeding excellent quality, why dont you contact a member of the YTCA. You may have to wait longer for a puppy, but it should be a very nice puppy. Not all, of course, sell with breeding rights. Maybe you could find a mentor also. |

Amanda, I thought that when Kallie had babies it was an accident? Now you are looking to find more females and breed? You have a website and you are now a breeder after one "oops" pregnancy? I don't want to be mean but I think you need to find a mentor and study a little bit more before you jump in full time to being a breeder. I think it is wonderful that everything worked out great with Kallie and that you love the Yorkie breed but I would consider carefully what you are getting into. |
Amanda- I can honestly say I do not think she was being rude at all. I think you perhaps went on the defensive really fast:confused:. To me she was showing excitement and an factual suggestion. Perhaps you did not want to answer questions about your puppies 3 days after they are born, however most of us have no issue fielding questions at any time because in the end we know we have to place numerous puppies, and the earlier you find people interested the more success in finding someone whom really wants them, it is not a impulse buy. If the buyer is willing to wait 12 weeks for the pups to come of age that says something about their intentions. Something I look for, as none of my babies will be bought on a whim. I think you response was extremely rude:(, yes I can understand you felt at home here in this section, but fact of the matter you posted this in the wrong section. This is for questions on breeding and whelping, not selling;). You also end up with many you would have talked to anyway by posting here as most of them do have their babies in the nursery. We do show them off in the nursery so people can look and if there is interest well they can go from there. True you cannot tell much on a week old pup, but it is not much better at 12 weeks either. I think you do need to calm down and stop before you type, in fact by your response you will only put people off, and prevent yourself from finding a breeder that will trust you enough with breeding rights. Contrary to your very rude, less than civil and uncalled for outburst I found absolutely nothing offensive with GurleyGirl's response. |

I have to say the only person in this thread that I found was rude was the OP. Are you having a bad day or something??? I think you need to take a chill pill. |
I recommend that someone thoroughly check out a breeder before buying a puppy. Reading the nursery threads shouldn't be considered "too much trouble," and a person should always check out the sire and dam of the pup, and the kennel conditions. However, a breeder in my opinion, should be much more diligent, in finding a puppy, and care should really be taken when choosing your breeding stock. I may be wrong, but it kind of sounds like you want someone to come to you and offer to sell you their dog, and I think this would be the absolute worst way to select a dog. Anyone, who would do this is a very poor breeder indeed. They would want to get to know you and your breeding program, and you would want to do the same with them. Some people on the forum have taken several years to find suitable pets that aren't use for breeding. I recommend you take plenty of time to find a potential breeding pup. |
