temperature experts...expected whelping Hey ladies, My mentor is out of town this wkend, so I thought I would ask y'all. Since yesterday Skittles temp has been as follow 7-30 morning 98.4 11:30am 98.2 2:44pm 97.9 5:33pm 98.6 8:35pm 98.8 Today morning 98.6 She has been laying in her regular bed most of this morning, and she was all day unless she was in the same rm as me then she was on the floor. She nested a lil bit in her bx at bed time and I woke up at 1am to her moving around in her box. Today is day 61 from the first tie. Any thoughts? I appreciate it DaniBelle & Skittles |

Anytime now...how exciting, new pups on the way! |
WOOOOHOOOO! How many are you expecting? Is your mom having contractions? Are they strong? How often? Is your mom refusing food but taking water? Is she taking NutriCal or NutriStat?? Is this her first litter? Did she free-whelp any puppies that she had before (if she has whelped before)I am so sorry to hear that your mentor is away because you can really use her/him now. Have you assisted in the whelping before? Phooey, I will stop asking questions so that you can get off this puter and stay with your mommy..Good Luck!!!!! |
Silly dumb question but how do you take the temp. is it rectal and do you use a regular termomater or a basel? |

Although they have some out now in the magazines that you can put in the dog's ears. Not sure if they work though............... |
