Heating pads that stay on??????? HELP
 
I cannot find a heating pad that stays on all the time.:eek::eek:. all they seem to sell here is the one's with timers.. :eek:is there a certain one that breeders use that do not shut off..
If anyone can help me I would really like to get one....anne

I bought some at Walgreens earlier this year that have 3 heat settings and stay on unless you switch them off. They were only $10 each and work well. :aimeeyork :animal-pa :animal-pa :animal-pa :animal-pa :)

Well holly crap.. I need to find these.. wow that would be like 40 plus 13% tax here in canada.. thanks.. I might have to check into this..anne

Someone posted to me before that Drug Mart also has them ,

Anne I know what your going through I bought one at Walmart last year when Tiffanie whelped her litter, didn't even realize that it had the auto shut off on it...Thanks goodness I had the one from my Hubbys Grandmother it's old but a good one. I'm going to try finding one now before Next Spring.

Have U had any babies yet? Let me know when you do.

Good luck finding a heating pad. Wonder how much shipping would be if someone here in the States could find you one??? Wonder if it would be cheeper for you to go that route??? Just a thought. Hugs, Lee

Anne I use those clip on lights...with the metal caps
with a 60 watt bulb...keeps them toasty and it dont go off

I had 3 boys and one girl on monday night.. I made a thread and posted pictures..I need a heating pad.. :confused: and cannot find them here here in canada...anne

Anne, I bought mine at CVS Pharmacy. Not sure if you have those where you live or not. Mine is like the above posters/ It had three temps. Low, Med., High but it stays on all the time. I hae never used it but a couple of days. My mama's get too hot and get off it and the babies followw mama and get cold so I, too, use the lamp Deb talks about. That way, if they get too hot, I just turn it off a few minutes. No one can get away from the heat.

they revivalanimal.com or jefferspet.com for the animal heating pads. they really work great, and are the best i've ever used.

As requested here are some pictures.. I will post more later tonight.. tail docking is today.. I have found that the babies are going to one side when wanting to sleep where the heat is..but it shuts off.. I would rather that then the heat lamp ...gee I miss being in florida..:confused: anne

Anne, they are cute as can be. How much did they weigh? Was this her 1st litter? Did she have an easy time whelping? I wish you the best. You got some cuties there. Hugs:) Lee
