Sometimes those little guys take a few minutes to get started on their own. I'm hoping that they are just settling everyone and getting him to nurse. Best possible outcome, please.

Sorry it took so long to update...we have 3 girls and 3 boys....the tiny male seems to be doing ok..I got him to latch on.....they are all so absolutely gorgeous...how do ya'll do this all the time(experienced breeders)....I was about to lose my mind!!! She did so good bless her heart! If! If! I ever breed her again it will be awhile!!!!!!!!!!! I feel so blessed to have witnessed this! She did so good! Thank you all so much SO MUCH for sticking with me!!! I hope she is done...it hasn't even been an hour since the last pup but I think she is through! THANK YOU!!!!

kim....she had 6 ....3 female..... 3 male...we are just waiting to hear how little man is doing

what should I feed Fancy??? I tried to give her some water with karo and she didn't want it...can I try to feed her mushed puppy food or ice cream...she threw up alot during labor? Oh and I will post pics in a little bit...

Congratulations on your 6 puppies. You did an amazing job! It warms my heart to see someone so willing and receptive to learn and to dig right in there and ask questions and call your vet when in doubt. Hooray for you! Now the fun as well as the hard work begins. Can't wait to see pictures of your new babies.

try to get her to eat some mushed up puppy food or wet puppy food. My girls don't eat right after whelping . Also, with your tiny guy, even tho he is nursing you are going to have to make sure the bigger ones don't push him off the teat. Weigh them now and I always weigh mine four times a day for the first week. You might see a tiny drop in weights in the morning then they should have a steady gain. if your little guy doesn't he is being pushed off. Move the others to the side on the heating pad and hold him to the teat for awhile all by himself. Oh, congratulations on your new litter.

Thank you so much!!! She won't even drink any water....I did give her some nutrical....I will definately take care of the little guy!!! I am so blessed that they are doing so well...I pray that it will continue!

Congratulations on your large litter of 6 puppies! Wouldn't you know I was here at the start, then had to leave and missed the excitement of the rest of them. I am so glad that everything turned out so well for you and Fancy and the new little family. Congrats again...........look forward to pictures!
