i have read every post on this thread (it took forever) and i am so glad everything is going okay other than the waiting which is killing everyone!!!

i also would like to guess (but please no basket if - and that is a HUGE if - i win! ;) )

Sigh.....lol..Ok I guess I will throw out another date now that all of my other ones have passed and didn't even make the roster...waaa... my guess is Saturday early morning and 3 puppies.....i bet she looks like she's going to pop to you Amanda.....Your family is beautiful!! Two boys and a girl! Thats exactly what I have but they are all grown up and man, does that happen fast!!! Ok, more refills on coffee.

I don't know if U ment that to come out that way and I'm not trying to cause any trouble...But whelping puppies is a very serious matter to consider at least it is for me and shouldn't be taken lightly or for granted...For ANYTHING can happen...

I wouldn't get another x-ray for the "Fun Of It" this is very serious and U need to be taking this very serious...I mean if U want one I wouldn't be doing it for the "Fun Of It" it would be for the saftey sake and for the sake of U're Yorkie and U...This way maybe U can count how many she is going to be whelping or at least have an idea about how many she's gonna whelp.

I would get ALL animals away from her and keep them away, she may try to attack them if she goes into labor...She's gonna want privacy and lots of it when it comes whelping time. I hope I haven't offended anyone by what I said...Just concerned about U're Yorkie. :) Lee

I think had you read all of Amanda's posts you would realize how seriously she takes this situation and her reasons for allowing Stewie to remain close by during the time being. She has already stated Stewie will be removed from the whelping area...when it becomes necessary.

For the fun of it means...because she has already had an x ray done..so there really is no other reason to have another.

I personally hope I haven't offended Amanda by replying....

Amanda, I know this is stressful for you. I do not feel that you need to x-ray again. Please just be patient (I know you are tired of hearing that). She is bound to have them soon. Just watch her closely. It is advisable that once she does start labor you will need to make sure the other animals are not around. Just hang in there.

I couldn't have said it better myself... You absolutely did NOT offend me..I appreciate you sticking up for me there. I hope that everyone knows that I take this VERY seriously and I do not want anything to happen to my baby.. By "For the Fun of it" I meant that since she wasn't having any problems and no real legit reason to have another one done, I could still do it for fun to see if I could count them better this time. Hint Hint, meaning I could find out how many there really are and see who is close to winning.. I am trying to take my mind off of all of the stress which is why I started this whole contest... I am concerned about her having large puppies but I am completely prepared to rush her to my vet in case of an emergency and he is always on call if I need him..If he is not concerned and tells me to relax and let nature take it's course, then what else can I do??

I knew exactly what you meant and never gave it a second thought. Did you read my post? Please let us know if she is STILL not wanting to eat. THAT will be exciting if she doesn't:D

I'm in the same boat that you are. My female just turned one and is expecting puppies tomorrow. I'm so excited but yet I'm anxious too. I had her to the vet on Wednesday and everything is on course and looking good. I didn't get an x-ray though since he said all was well. She's been roaming the house and looking in places she never went before. My DH is afraid she'll try to have them in our bed since she likes to sleep with me. I have everything ready when the time comes, so I told him to relax.

She is not wanting to eat her dog food. Should I try and feed her something different and see if she takes it?

how much does she weigh normally? I am a breeder & depending on her size & the size of the male if she will have trouble or not. I have been breeding for 10 yrs now. We have anywheres from 4 lbs- 11 lb dams. She will carry them 58-63 days. do you have a chat name for windows messenger or yahoo? I can let you know alot on what you need to watch for.

Amanda, DH stands for Dear Husband. Some of our DH's are very helpful and some are a pain in the you know what.
