Well shucks I missed half of them! I am going to bed got a headache,
Good luck with your last pup.We have another low dip tonight with her temp.She ate a good breakfast but nothing else but a few bites tonight and was literaly on my heels all day and tonight.Maybe tomorrow for us?

We got the waiting room stocked with snacks and plenty of aunts so well all be here for ya! let us know!

Wowee! Four puppies...........so far!?! Congratulations. I'm sure mama will do fine with the last one and then be able to get much needed rest. Great job done by all so far.......... I'm still hanging in here for a little while yet. Hope to see the big finish before I have to head up to bed

Where is the puppy you feel? Sometimes at the end it seems like there's one more puppy, but it's really her uterus. I made the mistake of thinking Brooke had one more, and that's all it was. It sure did feel like another puppy, but next time I knew exactly what the uterus felt like and I could distinguish it from a pup. It's difficult to know at first though! Congrats on the babies so far Lilly!!

Okay help... this is the part I was worried about... I still believe there is a fifth puppy. Puppy four was born at 8:40 and it is now 9:30 MST. Lilly is acting normal... she drank a little water... had some vanilla ice cream. The puppies are all nursing

I still feel something hard... nothing else could be hard right... it isn't her uterus or anything right? It is harder to feel it move because she has so much more room for move around.

We have a 24 hour vet down the street... so if I need to I will be running.

Sounds like she is acting normal .......give her time and just keep watching . sometimes the uterus feels hard and also moves when contracting back to its normal size.

:congrats: I too thought that I could feel another with my first experience, but it was only the uterus. If she is acting normal I would just keep a close watch over her. Sounds like she did a great job!

Sounds like mom and babies are all doing great. It sounds like what you are feeling is her uterus. If mom seems fine and the babies are doing well then there is no need for you to worry until morning. Do you have a stethoscope? I can usually hear the heartbeat of any puppies left. I think it is probably just the uterus. It can feel an awful lot like another puppy especially while it is contracting down and with her having four it is probably pretty large trying to contract down and it can feel just like another puppy. Best of luck to you and the new mom. Sounds like she did a great job. Can't wait to see pics of the new babies.

I thought I was right!!! Puppy number 5 is a GIRL!!!! The smallest of the bunch 3.4oz!!! Everyone is doing great!!!

I am sure she is done now... I don't feel anything else and the vet thought there might be five. Whew.... I am so TIRED! Lilly is doing great so far. I promise to post pictures tomorrow... way too tired tonight = )

Yeah we got a day whelp!!!! (sort of) :p
