I didn't notice the "get a life" comment, so don't know the context.....but I'm wondering what's so filthy about that? Are you being sarcastic? Or is there a double meaning I don't know about? :confused:

I pm'd admin about her being banned....it was because she called someone a name, and the post has been deleted.

Although I have no idea why Dudley was banned, I found it interesting how she criticized dog shows and show people. Possibly they weren't impressed with her..and her breeding practices either, JMO

duh. So I'm a little dense, but you took that post out of its proper context to make those people look bad. From what I know they are a small home based breeding and show kennel. The owner is professionally employed, which is probably how she can afford the breeding, and she has some retired friends who look after things when she can't be there. She's fairly local to me and has a good reputation, and a waiting list for her dogs.

Even out of context, I don't see what's wrong with the post...it says they have 4 litters, a baby needed special care, and she has two people helping. What's bad about that? I could understand if it indicated they have 4 litters they can't properly care for, but that's not the implication at all--just the opposite. Perhaps I am not understanding the reason for posting that. ?

They did make some comments about their personal opinion and experience with show people, and also acknowledged that doesn't mean all show people are like that. But, again, I do not see what is so bad about sharing their opinion of show people. Many show people (not referring to anyone in particular here, as I don't even know any of the show people on this board) have no problem stating their negative opinion of breeders who don't show. And regardless of whether an opinion is wrong or right in our eyes....this is a forum where people post their opinions. I did not see "Dudley" ridiculing those who choose to show, only commenting on the attitude of those with whom they had experience. I DID see "Dudley" being ridiculed and made fun of for choosing not to take part in the show world....and that spoke volumes to me.

Again, I guess it's just how each of us see things. Four litters in such a short time just seems a little much to me and I couldn't help but wonder how many litters they produce in a year. Sorry, but I, like many others are just concerned with the over population of pet quality Yorkies. Not trying to condemn your friend, just noting my concern and my opinion. To each his own.

It looked like condemnation to me, but just so you don't have to worry yourself too much over it, she had only three litter all of last year when a couple of breedings didn't take, and now nature has given her four litters at once when all breedings took. I don't think this is a workload she wants permanently. Also, you should ask her directly for the details of how she got BANNED. There's some interesting info there.

As for the reason she was banned, I really don't care. As for being a nice lady, I"m certainly not saying she isn't. There are a lot of nice people in the world but that doesn't mean I have to agree with their breeding practices. This is a thread about breeding for profit isn't it? "Nature" doesn't give one litters.. Again, I am just expressing my own opinion as are you.

I agree with you...4 litters at once is a LOT for anyone to take on...a lot of breeders don't have that many over the course of a full year...so 4 litters at once is a lot. If she's handling it well, that's great, but I feel like someone breeding that many at once may be breeding on a larger scale
