Has anyone heard of Pin Oak Kennels in Purdy, MO
 
My sil found them on the internet and I was wondering if anyone had heard of them. They had adorable puppies listed on their page but Im really scared of being scammed so im a little weary.

I always said I wouldnt buy one with out seeing it but with her prices so reasonable compared to here it might be my only way Everything I have found here are 1500 on up

If anyone can help me or tell me how to find out if the kennel is legit I would be so grateful

I would add the link to the web page but not sure if its allowed

A web site is great IF you know the the person or if someone recommends them personally but to make a decision on a puppy based only on a website is quite quite scarey. A red flag is the Malkie, a Maltese/Yorkie, I assume, that she mentions in her contract. Her pictures are taken with some beautiful scenary but how do I know that is her property? She can say whatevr she wants on her website -- it could all be true or it could all be fabricated. There is no way to know if you can't find some people who can vouch for her directly. You need to go to her home and see what you can find out but I would suggest you do not buy a puppy right away and see how she reacts. The horror stories I've heard from puppy buyers make it necessary to be like this. Even big "show breeders" sometimes treat pet buyers very badly AFTER the sale is made. They are nice, nice, nice until they don't need to be anymore. I've seen it happen and it amazes me that people can be like that and live with themselves but they do.

I swear I have heard that name here before Are they a Member maybe?? The website looks pretty good.

Maybe a Member that lives close can help you and go check it out for you ?

concerns would be....
the mix breed
the absence of the adults and any information on the parents
all past puppies are from 2007, you do not see what they may look like when mature, so she may be a new breeder.
uses credit cards for payments

I asked them once for a pic of some adults of theirs as a friend owned one of their dogs and we were looking into it's pedigree. They told me they didn't have any pics of their adult dogs and since they had just been shaved down for the summer I would understand if they didn't show me any. Give me a break. The dog I know from Pin Oak has broken color, a hernia, and a terrible rear and roach back. I definitely would not recommend their dogs.
