Ok...today is 65 days after first tied but 59 days after last tied. Her temp were steady between 99.4 to 99.7 every 3 times a day for the past 5 dyas or so. I measure her before I go to work in the morning, come home mid day (I work really close to home) and night when I come home.

But just right now, her temp gone up to 100.9....first time gone up this high. Is this normal? Is this sign of labor... :confused:

As of now, this minute (10 pm in California), she is still eating but not very much.

Seriously....I am getting very impatient now...I checked her temp just now, is still 99.9, not dropping yet... She did lick her private very often.

This is worsed than I was pregnant and expecting the day myself years ago...:D

Should I take her back to the vet if she does not deliver over this weekend, today would be her 60 days after last tied.

My vet says they can conceive 2-3 days after the tie, depending on when the eggs are present. If it was me, I'd take her in on Monday if nothing happens this weekend. That is assuming that she looks good and continues to act okay.

My first litter, we didn't even know our mom was in labor. She was just very normal acting. Then her water broke all over the kitchen floor during dinner. I didn't even know their water could break!

Keep an eye on her...and good luck from all of us.

so maybe there will be new puppies tomorrow?...here's hoping...

OMG! I just read all the replies, hoping to hear at the end about the puppy, or puppies born, and still no babies. I can't wait to hear about them. It must be so exciting. Here's wishing you the best of luck with the delivery.

Wow, I thought we would have heard by now. Hope everything is all right.

I am really getting worried now. The last time we heard from her, about Candy was Friday, 4/4! Am I right? Oh please God let everything be alright.

:cry: I am sorry to keep you all waiting and worried. Candy is doing fine but no puppy after all.

But, I am very confused and want to find you if any of you has this experience or heard about this...

Since she is overdue, still active, eat well, happy and have no sign of labor, so I took her back to the vet today... guess what...the vet took another xray and said "nothing is in her". He showed me the last Xray film, and pointed where the pup was. ( very honest, I can not really tell that is a pup, I can see a outline of something, he said is the pup).

Today's xray (new digital image), showed nothing. I asked why, and his replied were:

1. The pup was naturally aborted and she cleaned all herself. But I watched her so closed every day, she is in my room every day, I cleaned her bed everyday and I don't see any stained, blood or wetness at all.

2. The pup was dead and naturally absorbed into her body. He said it happens but not often. :confused:

But, I think there is 3rd possibility, the pup that he thought was not actually one...

WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK ABOUT THIS.... MY VERY FIRST AND VERY STRANGE EXPERIENCE... I LEARN SO MUCH WITH THIS EXPERIENCE THO

I am kind of sad... :cry:, but at least, she is fine, nothing wrong with her, that is the most important part.

So sorry you went through that... but glad your baby is okay. I have heard of the absorbed thing with other animals... even humans... but I know it is very rare? My guess would be that... or the first xray really wasn't a puppy after all? Again, so sorry :(

:( I am sorry Candy had to go through all this. But I can tell you your Vet is right. It may be rare, but I had a dachshund that would have had 1 puppy. She was x-rayed and everything. When I noticed she was not getting much bigger, I had her checked again, and my Vet said the same thing. She either lost it, or it was absorbed in her system. I felt bad too, because I really wanted to keep her baby, but was so glad she was alright. After that I had her spayed. By the way, my dachshund's name is Candy. She will be 10years old this year.

But you're right atleast Candy is fine.
I have heard they can absorb them.
But I really dont know much about it.
