Question???? I Posted This In The Show Section, But Are Not Many People There. I Was Wondering.... I Am Looking At A Female Pup That Has Alot Of Canadian Grand Ch. And Ch. In Her Lines. But My Question Is Will It Show Up On Her Akc Pedigree Since It Is Canadian??? She Has Some American But Mostly Can.???? Please Help. Its Not Gonna Do Me Any Good If I Cant Prove Her Pedigree! |
Foreign titles will not show up on your AKC pedigree. My Carly is out of 3 generations of Canadian champions and not one of them is listed as a champion, only AKC champions will be listed. |
so there is no way of proving her pedigree??? |
You could get her a canadian pedigree or have a pedigree service do her pedigree for you. Why do you need to prove anything? |
because i am buying her for my breeding and she has a wonderful pedigree, but they are mostly canadian, and i would like to be able to prove her pedigree. |
how could i get her canadian pedigree??? i just want to show people they are getting a great pedigree. |
I assume that means you're wanting to breed her someday. I've found that the only people who care about champions on the pedigree are breeders and exhibitors, not pet owners. You could ask for a Canadian pedigree from her breeder if she's from Canada. You could show her and put your own champions on the pups pedigrees. If it says grand champion it's probably not canadian, as far as I know they don't have grand champions but UKC does. Maybe one of our Canadian breeders will come on here and tell us more about Canada's pedigrees. My canadian lines are out of Crystal Waters, where are yours out of? |
Her Dad Is A Crystal Waters, Her Grand Parents Are Durrer, There Is A Lot Of Durrer Among Other Names. Her Whole Pedigree Is Almost Ch., So People Dont Care About Champions? I Would Love To Show, Dont Have Anyone Who Can Teach Me. My Little Boy Is Beautiful And Thought Of Showing, But Wouldnt Know Where To Get Started. |
What's her sire's name? Go on info dog and see if there is a show anywhere near you that is coming up. You can go and observe, meet some people, talk to the local club who is putting on the show. The club may offer confirmation classes. If you want to become a breeder you need to get to really know the yorkie breed and a show is a great place to start. You can meet other yorkie people and maybe even find a mentor. I started going to shows when I still just had pets but was interested in breeding, I studied on my own for a couple of years but it really started moving along after I attended my first show. My first show friend was a vet's daughter who breeds and shows pointers. She couldn't teach me much about grooming a yorkie for the ring but she taught me alot about anatomy, whelping, handling and showmanship. You never know who you can learn from. Crystal Water's dogs run light so watch out for lack of pigmentation. |
You could order a pedigree from Indrio Pedigrees in Texas. They do foreign and US champions and they are very resonably priced!! |
