I AM WONDERING IF ANYONE LIVES IN MORGANTOWN , INDIANA 46160 AND HAS HEAR OF THIS BREEDER YORKIES BY RILEY?
OR ANYONE WHO LIVES NEAR MIAMI, OK 74354 AND HAS HEARD OF INDIAN HILL PUPPIES? I AM LOOKING AT SOME OF THEIR PUPPIES AND WANT SOME FEEDBACK. AND IF I AM INTERESTED IF SOMEONE MIGHT BE ABLE TO HELP ME OUT AND GO CHECK THEM OUT FOR ME???? I LIVE SO FAR AWAY AND WOULD BE FLYING TO GO PICK THEM UP, AND DONT WANT TO BUY A BAD PUP OR FROM A BAD BREEDER? THANK YOU , RENAE AND TUCKER:animal-pa

I live in Quapaw, OK. It's about 7 miles from Miami. I've never heard of Indian Hill Puppies. I will see what I can find out about them for you though.

Not a problem. I am in SE Kansas (I'm in college) but home (Quapaw) is only like 35 minutes. So it's not a huge deal. We've all grown up here, so I'm sure we'll figure it out. I'm thinking it is a pretty new place though. Nobody has ever heard of it so far. My dad is a MS principal and I called and asked him to ask around alot of his teachers are from Miami. So we'll get it figured out.

I would be interested on the Indian Hills info. Indian Hills is my husbands AKC registered kennel name for his beagles. Be very careful in Indiana. I have never heard of this breeder you mentioned but I personally went to Indiana about two weeks ago to look at what appeared on the internet to be a gorgeous puppy that I wanted. It turned out to be a filthy puppymill.

I think that it's a pretty new deal. I've never heard of it before and we've lived there our whole lives. So. We'll see. I'll let you know what I find out.

From their website, they breed Maltese as well. No information on their dogs at all, just some pictures of past pups, but they claim many are from 'champion lines.' Maybe you could ask around w/ some Maltese owners for info on this breeder?

Wow i have been googling the Yorkies by Riley and couldn't find anything. You are just good:thumbup:. Ok advertising as "teacups" and releasing at 8 weeks those are 2 big red flags right there IMO.

it might be and they might not be aware that they can't use a registered kennel name. At least not in AKC. Wouldn't be the first time that has been done.:rolleyes:

Dee--this is Indian Hill--no 's' Does that make a difference in regards to what AKC allows? (Still too close, IMO)

THE ONE IN INDIANA I CANT FIND A WEBSITE, I FOUND THEM ON NEXT DAY PETS, AND THE ONE IN OKLAHOMAHAS A DECENT WEBSITE I THOUGHT, I DID NOT SEE WHERE IT SAID HOW OLD THEY ARE TILL THEY LEAVE? WHERE DO YOU GUYS FIND THIS STUFF? I AM DRIVING MY SELF CRAZY LOOKING FOR A DECENT FEMALE. I ASKED IF THE GUY FROM YORKIES BY RILEY COULD SEND ME PEDIGREE INFO SINCE HE SAID THEY WERE FROM CHAMPIONS. IF ANYONE WANTS ADDRESS PM ME CAUSE I AM GONNA LOOK IT UP. MAYBE SOMEONE WILL KNOW EXACTLEY WHERE IT IS.

probably the s makes the difference. but yes it is still too close. Not much you can do about it tho.:(

rather not say on a public board but it was about forty five minutes out from Louisville. I have reported them to petite paws rescue but haven't heard back from them other than they were going to check her out.. I felt so sorry for the babies and wanted the little boy so bad. The lady left the room and Ipicked him up and told my friend right away, this puppy is very sick. they all were. She said she normally gives a 24 hour guarantee but for us it would be 48 hours. That's all. i acted real innocent then came straight home and turned her in. Thanks for the offer but we didn't have time for lunch plus we were eating luch at the airport with a lady that flew in to get her baby.

I understand. I moved from IL to IN back in '94. Twelve years ago, when I began looking for another Yorkie, I called a number in the paper (wrong thing to do, here) anyway, hubby and I drove out in the country to a place in DeMotte. The gal had her Yorkies in stalls in a horse barn. Tiny little Yorkie Mama, sweet little babies. I wanted to take all of them out of there. Needless to say, I didn't buy from her. Turned her in to the Humane Society. Headed to the dogs shows, and found my puppy. It makes me so angry when people treat these babies this way. Wow. She was going to give you a whole extra 24 hours on the guarantee. Really cared about her puppies. Good for you, turning her in to Petite Paws. :thumbup:

I almost bought a puppy from them in the past few months. But they couldn't answer my many questions to my satisfaction.

I asked about bloodlines and pedigrees. They know very little about that and I won't buy from someone who can't tell me what their dogs bloodline is. other than that, they seemed okay. As a breeder, I have to know what I am putting in my house. What is your time frame for a puppy?

Dumb Question: I thought you can't have a register kennel name unless that kennel shows? (otherwise you're just a breeder who decided they have a kennel with a name?)

If you are talking about my post, you are right. My husband's Indian Hills Beagles is a well known show kennel and has been registered for many years. Now, since i have only recently started showing my yorkies, I cannot register my prefix. I am showing UKC at the moment but if I ever start AKC, I can register my name.

So UKC doesn't allow you to register your kennel? (only AKC?)
