LilBit updated pics 3 Attachment(s) Here is Lil Bit of Prestigeous He hates the camera now. He starts squinting as soon as he sees it. I started banding his mustache because the soft food kept getting to be a mess in it. He is 5 inches tall from the floor to the top of his spine 6 months old. Not the greatest pics but thats my boy.:D Deana Prestigeous Yorkies |
omg look at that cute little face! |
Thank you, He is so small it is unreal. His father is one of our Champions and his mother is pointed. We didn't mean to have one so small. He is so little its scary but he is such a sweet little guy. Deana Prestigeous Yorkies |
1 Attachment(s) Sooo tiny! What a cutie, Deana! I had two that only matured at 2.25 pounds back in the 80's. I kept one ("Feather") and gave my mother in-law the other one ("Benji"). She only lived about 5 minutes away, so I felt comfortable letting her have him. He did great - very strong and what a little spitfire. Every time Benji would get out he would go after those Florida toads and she would have to get a shot of atropine for him. Little stinker! They tried everything to stop him and to keep the toads out of the yard. They even tried keeping him inside for awhile, but he loved my father in-law and loved to follow and spend time with him outside while he puttered around the yard. Feather was a real lover - so sweet and gentle! Just so tiny. Here is a photo of him when he was a pup. I know what you mean about not trying to get them small - sometimes it just happens. It scares me - reason I kept them in the family. Just wanted to say how sweet Lil bit is!! T. |

Deanna, he is so precious, I am glad he is doing so well. Thanks for the update. |
what a cute little guy. |
Thanks Tina, Yea its amazing when we get one like this. I definitely don't want anyone thinking I am trying for this size, no way. Poor Lil Bit I just wished he could grow up. I don't have any puppies he can play with. Even the 4 week old pups are starting to outweigh him now. His mother has produced two that grew to be 2 3/4 lbs she is spayed now. I tried her with different males and she just always had to have a little one. Thanks for sharing the pic Tina and I agree when they are this little they shoud go to someone in the family/very close friend or stay with us. Deana Prestigeous yorkies |

He is very fragile. He did have an ear infection and went down and I had to syringe feed him or he would have died. I was up feeding him when he was about 4 months every couple of hours to keep him going. Even when the temperature changes he would stress. He is doing much better now. He sleeps from midnight to 7 AM But when you have one this tiny if he gets a virus it is very well going to be it. He cannot be put under for surgery You never want a puppy this size not to purposely breed for these small ones. Its not fair to them. I feel blessed to be his guardian but I know that any day I could have a broken heart and I find every day with him a blessing to me. deana Prestigeous Yorkies |

Wow, bless his little heart. I worried like that about Ryder for the first couple months, I had NO IDEA he was going to be this small, and THANK GOD he finally made it to 2 lbs. I still have my doubts about breeding him though...he's only 5 1/2 months now, so time will tell I suppose...but if there's any risk involved I'm not doing it. Then again I'd be scared to death to have him put under and neutered. He's just so fragile. His lines don't generally carry pups that small, he just happened to be the runt. That's why I guess I don't understand people breeding these 2 and 3 lb females to purposely get TEENY TINIES...you just can't argue that they're as healthy as the standard sized babies...like you said, if something happens, that's it. :( |
