pregnant yorkie??? hi ya'll i need to know if you all think my Troy might be pregnant. i asked what to do for gas in the sick thread... but i think i fixed that problem.. but she looks bloated or shes gotten bigger. i weighed her today. i thought she was 5/6 lbs but now she is 8. she was in heat last month before or while i was out of town... all i know is when i came home i went to wash her blankie and it had blood on it. now how long it was there i don't know cause she doesn't always lay on it so i don't wash it often. i thought she was gonna be a female who was in heat every 8 months since her first was at 8 but she had her second heat 6 months after her 1st. so she took me by surprise. once i knew she was in heat she and Walker were separated. well anyway here are the pics. the last one looks as though she is leaking discharge. its sticky but not thick. ok looking forward to see what you all think. i think i'll be taking her to the vet next week anyway. http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...6/DSCN1101.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...6/DSCN1100.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...6/DSCN1103.jpg |
it can help if you can tell us how far along she would be if she is? |
well thats just it. i don't really know. they were separated about a month ago. |
ok, let me ask you this.... when did you first notice she was in heat? when do you think your boy and girl were together unsupervised? it is very hard to tell by the photos unless we know about how far along she might be. if she is not pregnant, that discharge could be an infection. she could be going through false pregnancy |
the were unsupervised Jan 12th and 13th but i didn't notice she was in heat till the 18th. after i separated them i noticed that she had been sleeping a lot more and i looked at her belly and i could see no difference than any other time. i looked yesterday and she seemed fat. |

it is still a bit early to tell. i would give it two more weeks (i know...ugggg) we should be able to tell something by then by photos. if you cannot wait and the discharge is questionable, take her to the vets and they should be able to tell you something by now by examining her. sorry i was no help |

Has she been eating more? When my Gellica was pregnant, she was eating about 3x her normal amount. She also gained about 2.5-3 lbs. She also got very lazy and she didn't want to play as much as before. Have you noticed any of these signs? |
not the eating because they have the continous feeder. and she didn't like the previous food. biut i know she has eaten 2 times today already and it is 2:30pm. she has been sleeping a lot. i have to go looking for her cause shes never just out and about anymore. |
discharge due to preg normally occurs in the last two weeks so i am not sure what that is that she has. if it smells, then it is most definately an infection. i am no vet but i would call just in case. |

I think she needs to see a vet with discharge and not being sure that she is pregnant. I am not aware of any discharge that could be there for no reason. |
