Recipe for Whelping Pudding Who was it that had this on here? :) |
Here is mine. It is simplier to me than some I have used. I use it everytime. It was given to me by a well known breeder. Large pkg. of Vanilla pie and pudding mix (cook kind) 1/2 c. sugar 4 cups milk 4 egg yolks. Cook on low heat stirring constantly until thick. Give it to your mom at body temp. This will not cause diarreha so she can have all she wants. If it is the first time she has had it or seems to not like it, put some in some wet food for her. I usually give mine about two tablespoons a day in between their other meals. I also cut the recipe in half because it makes way too much. |
Here's a thread that has information on it: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...elping+pudding |

I use the following which is a hybird of one of our breeders here: 1 can goat's milk mixed with 1 can water 2 egg yolks (no white) 1 small carton of plain or vanilla yougert with active culture 2 tablespoons Kayro syrup 4 packets (one box) Knox unflavored gellatin Sprinkle unflavored gellatin over goat's milk/water to soften. Add remaining ingredients mix well and pour in a 9x13" pan. Refrigerate until firm. Cut into 1" squares. I offer a couple of cubes about 3 times a day. |
