While I know that there is some disagreement in what the proper age is to send a puppy to his new owner, I know we all agree that a puppy should never leave before 8 weeks of age and that is what most of the experts say. Puppies should never be shipped before 12 weeks of age. Breeders that are raising the puppies should take all necessary steps to make sure the pups are properly socialized while they are in their care.

Our puppies all go home around 10-12 weeks old min. Everything depends on the puppy. If they are on the smaller side they must stay longer. Yes, they are a LOT more work the older they get, but to me it's worth the peace of mind that they are ready for their new homes.

Hha it is VERY normal for a dog not to do both poop and pee in the same exact area. If you watch a dog go outside they do not usually go in the same areas either. Perhaps you could try a "poop" pad area and a "pee" pad area. Ours all have seperate areas.

Three additional states have administrative regulations that give a minimum age for puppy sales. Of the remaining five states, two states (Pennsylvania and Virginia) mandate that a puppy be at least seven weeks old and one state (Nebraska) requires that a puppy reaches six weeks.
