do breeders have trade? i was wondering if it is common for breeders to trade yorkies for other yorkies or other breeds? i have a litter 2 females 3 males and im keeping one female and i need a male and thought about offering a trade for another male that wasnt related. |
i don't know how common it is. I have recently been offered an English Bulldog and a breeding pair of chis for one of mine. Of course, I said, thanks but no thanks. |
i have heard of ppl doing that i haven't done myself. |
I've heard of some breeders doing that before. Sometimes you will have breeders that kindof "work together" and share their lines with each other...I know this is common among show breeders in the cat world. |

Yes, we trade and "borrow" other breeders dogs... ...if I was you I'd post exactly what you are looking for (size, registry, etc) and then post exactly what you have to offer... |

well im not sure if anyone on yt would be willing to trade mine are CKC right now right now the weight charts put them at 6lbs but that could change the father was on the heavier side but all the grandparents are much smaller gidget were 5lbs each and scrappy were's 7lbs and 3lbs i gave scrappy to a friend so that i could fine a smaller male..i dont want a male thats 2-3lbs i want one thats around 5lbs i wouldnt mind trading and possibly paying a little more to start getting AKC..i should have money from the sale and i have nice tax return coming thanks for the info everyone! |
good luck!! |
When I first got into breeding, an elderly lady wanted to do a trade (she's been breeding probably close to 50 years). I kindly told her no. After all, I had just met the woman. Anyway, people do trades. Put up what you have to offer, see what they have to offer and try to work something out. Good luck! |
