Breeding ?? We are breeding our Chloe with an aquaintance's stud who has had DNA testing and is triple registered. She doesn't stud out as a norm. Just for her own breeding mostly with her females. Being she has other females we brought "Cricket" to our place for a couple nights, however Chloe doesn't seem to be as responsive here at home. Has anyone experienced this as well adn have any advice? We did leave her at his house tonight to see if she what happens....she is on her 14th day of heat. We have been "visiting" for a week now and to no avail. |
All I know is that the 2nd week of her heat is when she's most interested in the male..but, maybe she doesn't like the male..I had a shih tzu years ago that wasn't interested in either shih tzu we put her with, but, yet when we bred her with a little black poodle, she was in love..;) |
we need more information.... how old is she how old is he why so many registries? how many girls does she have? how many times does she breed him with her own? when was the last time? dna registry only means he is in the akc books b/c if you breed a male more than 6 times a year, he has to be dna registered....it doesn't mean anything else so give us some more information and maybe we can help you better |
Is she flagging? Run your hand down her back and see if she moves her tail to the side. You may have to hold her for him, sometimes they won't approach unless you help. HOld her under your arm and lift her tail. Call the male over and let him sniff and see how they both react. The male usually won't breed her if she's not ready. He'll know for sure. |

my dogs never flag when rubbing down the back. i wouldn't go by that method. she may need to be tested to see when she is ovulating |
