I want to breed my Yorkie Stud Hello! I am new to this site and I am interested in breeding my Yorkie. He's 5 years old and 5 lbs and in need to breed. I am in NYC, just wanted to know if anyone had a female Yorkie that wanted to breed. Thanks! |
you need to give more information, ie....testing, linage, photos, health, color, coat.... there is so much more than advertising a stud to breed. people here will want much more info |

And welcome to YT. |
Just thought you should know that offering stud service is against YT policy :) |
. We do not allow stud/bitch service or looking for stud/bitch posts at YorkieTalk. Please privately PM breeders in which you may be interested in working with. The above is the rule listed about not advertising your stud. Welcome to YT. The rules for posting are listed above each forum in a sticky. You will find this rule on the top of the for sale forum down in the body of the rules. |
rules Interesting rules...it is okay hind this rule?to advertize the sale of puppies and breeding stock, but not the breeding of these dogs..I wonder what the reasoning behind this ruling?? |

i don't know the reasoning. I wish they did have a place where we could advertise our studs if they were for public use. it is so hard to find one on a few days notice if you need one. i have ceeby but I am getting boxed in as to what I can breed to. everything is kin to him. |
I totally agree. I posted over a year ago I was looking for a stud and got deleted.:( Plus, what better place? You get to know people, how they care for their dogs, if they are healthy, etc. |

i agree with this post. if you are looking to breed your male these things are important. There is a lot of great information on this site about breeding so please read up and ask questions if you have any. |
Maybe you can ask for a new section? |

Hi, and welcome. I have a question....why is he in NEED to breed????? It just seems like a strange way to put it. |
lol trust me he needs it because he won't stop humping a teddy bear! OK I will go ahead and write more info even though after reading responses it seems its illegal? not sure why |

breeding Unfortunately, breeding a male will not stop this behavior with one breeding...so be prepare to keep up what you start...neutering is the best way to stop this...good luck |
Once he becomes a stud dog you will most likely have MORE problems with humping than you did before..he will also start marking more and if he isnt already he may start marking in the home. I neutered Reece because his marking and humping was getting out of hand...since then he is almost perfect when it comes to that sort of behaviour..you are much more likely to be happy if you get him neutered instead..:) Dawn |
