They all gain differently depends on how many pups, how good she is eating.Is she laying down fat or is it all pups etc... I begin taking temps a week before the due date 2 times a day (same time each day) as we get closer I will take 3 times a day to catch the drop. Depends on how many pups you have how big she will get.If you have only 2 weeks to go you should be able to feel a pup in their.Should be able to feel it moving here by the end of next week unless it is way up in the ribs. |
It's really hard to say, but I would guess she is pregnant, just because of the way her belly looks. Also, for a dog who has never had puppies before, her nipples are awfully big. Maddie has hasn't had a litter yet, and hers are teeny tiny, even though she's had a heat. |

I hope all goes well at the vet's tommorrow. Her belly kind of looks prego. Cozy is as fat as a house. Went from a very muscular 10 pounds to 16 pounds. Per vet she is all babies 3 (maybe 4). Vet said they look tiny on the x-ray. So she should have no problems delivering. Pretty much all she does is sleep, nibble some food, and pee. |

We go today!! The vet came into the store I work at on Sunday and I had her with me. I held her up and asked if I really needed to come for xrays... and when he first looked at her he said "no I don't think so". BUt then he felt her and said "yeah, you better come see me Thursday" So I guess he felt something. I have to go stright to work afterward and I'm taking her with me. So I'll try to post tonight what we find out. |

No Puppies!!! The xray showed NO PUPPIES!! The vet said it was a false prenacy...she has all the signs of being PG except for having puppies. So we can wait and see how big she is when she goes into heat next time. But he didn't see any reason that she should not be breed later. Thanks for all the information and I'll keep reading up also.
