Non Registered Yorkie Breeding Good morning. I have thought about breeding for awhile now. I have not bred yorkies yet, because I don't feel I am quite 100% educated yet. I have been doing lots of research, and glad I have, because I have realized it takes more than sticking two dogs together to be a responsible breeder. Thanks to all the post on this site, as it has really gave me much more knowledge. Once a yorkie becomes non-registered for what ever reason, should he or she never be bred.?? I understand from research, that even a registerd dog may not be purebred, and so forth. |
breeding Welcome...of course, the mere fact that a dog possesses a registration certificate does not mean it is purebred or acceptable for breeding. When you decide to breed, you should first decide what type of breeder you want to be known as...one who follows the standards and guidelines of the pure bred dog or one who more or less breeds with their head in a paper sack so to speak. The breed world is full of people walking around with sacks on their heads, making their own rules and not all that concerned with the preservation of the breed they say they love. |
Where can I find the Standards and guidlines of breeding? Thank you |
