Iam so sorry for your loss and wish you the best in your fight for whats right. |
Be sure to post in the General Discussion area (if you haven't already) since you're looking for other owners. I agree with Pat, I wouldn't want to get another dog from them. Mention the pet lemon law to your lawyer, he/she should know this however. |

She had a genetic malformation of her soft palate. Her soft palate was too short so most of the food she ate went into her nose and lungs. This created infections and she was malnourished. She was on antibiotics, aerosol and shortly before her death she only weighed 3.5 lbs. Her weight was 5 lbs. before she began getting sick at 5 months old. She had an experimental costly surgery to lengthen her soft palate. After her surgery it seemed to work, she looked and was getting better. Within a week once again got sick, lost more weight and when re-examined the tissue that was attached had died. We ran out of options, the specialist told us that the only humane thing was to put her to sleep that she could NOT live that way. Painfully we had to make that decision, which still haunts us, even though it was the right one. She is in Heaven and healthy, waiting for us. |
Oh thats so sad ! Bless your heart for doing all you could. I don't know how breeders like this can sleep at night. |
I'm really sorry about what happened...I hope things will work out in your favor. I got my Stanley from Seaside Yorkies also. He came with kennel cough and his ear was cut which a small piece of his ear is still missing today. I'm lucky that he is alive and well today. I started a thread a while back about Seaside and a few other people replied to it expressing their dislike also...maybe that could help. |

Good luck. Did you check ripoffreports.com for other unhappy victims??? |
http://www.wxii12. com/news/ 15478166/ detail.html did you see this article? |
Good for you for fighting back against these people! Lots of luck! |
This was on our local news. A lady from Yadkinville, NC purchased a pup for 800.00, the little thing looked nothing like a Yorkie and also had health problems. I sent your post to the news station. |
I just had to check out their site....and......What in the world????? This is in their guarantee: "Because of the variety and quality of dog foods available {and all canine illness are NOT covered vaccination} , we require that all Seaside Yorkies must be kept on "Nu Vet Plus" canine supplements. This nutritional supplement is only available through breeder or veterinarian recommendation. You will be instructed concerning this when you leave our kennel. The order line is 1--800-474-7044. Your order code is 42256. This health guarantee will be considered null and void if you do not keep your pet on this supplement. Nu Vet Labs sends us monthly reports on which puppies from SeaSide Yorkies are being supplemented with Nu Vet Plus Canine." I find it ridiculous that you would be required to keep them on this in order to have a guarantee. Seems like a good way to avoid following through on a guarantee... |

 That in itself would make me run far far away. I don't expect everyone to feed their dog like I feed mine, and I certainly wouldn't want a breeder telling me I had only one feeding option. |
I wish you the very best of luck with your lawsuit. I know it won't bring your baby back but it will hopefully save another from having the heartbreaking expreience you have endured. I wish there were more people like you. Please keep us updated. Warm regards, |
