I would suggest if you have 2 vets, maybe you should ask them and see what they suggest If she has a csection that will be really different and you won't have to worry about any of that. |
My Mommas get to chomp down 2. |
Lexie had four pups and I hardly had a chance to even try to get any from her.....and didn't. She basically was eating them as they came out. I think I actually only caught a glimpse of two of them before she gobbled them up. In any case, she had no problems with diarreha at all. Whew! |
Abby just had four puppies and I managed to get 2 and she had 2. She was so fast that before I could get to the pup she was eating. Not a pleasant sight I might ad. She has had soft stools, but not totally runny so guess it really depends on the dog. |
I should not have read this thread while I was eating... |

Please be respectful. This is a place for questions and experiences and if you do not like the thread or the topic that has been asked/started do not respond. It is quite that simple. Enough is enough! |

Did you happen to notice that there was actual discussion regarding the question she asked?;) Not sure if maybe you missed that... |
Thank you all for you advice. I guess I'll have to wait and see if she wants to eat them. I do believe I'll try to remove them after one or two. that seems to be a good compromise. ... again depending on what the xray shows as to numbers and size. as you stated I may not have a choice then. |

Hope all goes well for you. keep us informed on how your making out.. pooh's mum |
We'll see! Porsche ate both placentas, so I guess we'll see about the vomiting and diarrhea. Something I didn't expect was for her to vomit during labor. I guess some human moms get sick during labor, so it's the same with furmoms. |
