I gave it to Diva between while she was laboring............then she threw up....a nice milky liquid all over my hand....I'm thinking maybe it was because she hadn't eaten much that day...and she was a 1st time mommy..I think her nerves also got to her........she loves it though...I still share some with her now and then!:D |
Thank you for the feed back! Which one do you think would be better the ice cream or whelping pudding?? And does anyone have the recipe for whelping pudding? |

I do vanilla ice cream. To me, It's the perfect food at the time... a bit of calcium, sugar, and so yummy. I make mothers pudding (or whelping) afterwards. This is one I use... Pudding Recipe for Nursing Mothers 1 x package Vanilla Pudding (cooked kind) 1/2 cup sugar 4 cups milk 4 egg yolks Cook on low heat to a pudding consistency. Feed at least 20cc twice per day, by syringe if necessary. If you don't have a package of vanilla pudding on hand you can mix the following in a saucepan and cook to pudding consistency. 2/3 cup sugar 6 tablespoons cornstarch 1/2 teaspoon salt 4 cups milk (or one can evaporated milk plus equal parts water to make quart) 4 egg yolks 3 teaspoon vanilla |
