Any info on...... Hi, everyone! I have been a member of Yorkietalk for several months and have only done alot of reading and now find myself needing some help!! I am very interested in a baby from a website I found online. I have searched yorkietalk and cannot find any info on this breeder, so I hope someone here can help me! The website is www.cadillackennel.com and I have been emailing Pagie Robinson about one of the available pups. I would really appreciate any thoughts or comments as this is really find myself wanting this puppy, but don't want to get caught up in a scam! Thanks for any info you can provide!! Trina |
Before you buy please check with the AKC to make sure that they are not on suspension. I found out too late on my pup that the breeder was on the Yorkie mixed list for doing the same thing twice. Please!! check them out with everyone. note: BBB, local license office, State license office you may want to start there. Ask for refences and call them if they will not give them do not buy for them. Please be careful bad breeder will give you fake number call to be sure that they are who they say they are. |
Welcome to YT. I don't see any red flags, but I'd want to see the mom and dad. Does she have them available to look at, because their not on her site? |

Sounds like a puppy mill to me...:( |
When you read the services page it states that parents can be seen on request and shows the health guarentee and they even say about the standard weight is for the Yorkie and that people prefer them smaller but that can cause health problems. Would you be going in person or having the puppy shipped? Which one is it you like or is it a secret? |

Thanks for explaining! It did sound like a good thing when you don't understand it! |
Thanks!!!! Wow! You gals are too good! I knew I could count on you!! The puppy I really wanted was "Cookie Monster" and knew I had to "meet" with you guys before sending any funds. As a matter of fact as soon as I posted this to YT I received an email from "Paige" saying she sold Cookie to a couple for Idaho this morning, but she has two others, same age and weight available. Gosh, I am so glad I checked with you guys first. I already have one 6 year old Lizzie (my yorkie) and really want another one, but I will be happy with only my Lizzie for now or maybe I will contact the breeder I got Lizzie from. Thanks again, Trina |
oops! wanted to add I was going to fly up or drive up to Missouri. I guess my plan was to pay the deposit of ($200.00) and then go to Missouri to see the puppy. Have a great day! Trina |

Maybe you could put an introduction post with a photo of Lizzie in the Yorkie photos section. I'm sure we'd all love to see her!!! :D |
A breeder has to have a USDA license if they sell to pet store or puppy brokers. This means they don't care where their puppies end up. How sad not to know where your furbabies are!!! But I guess when you mass produce for money, you did not really care in the first place. I would much rather buy a pet from a backyard breeder than a puppymill. At least the BYB would probably have played with, loved, and socialized the puppies. The poor puppymill puppies don't know anything but being in a cage. |
