http://www.happyblue.hu/ Anyone buy a Yorkie from this website? Or maybe that knows someone? I see they have reasonable prices for very nice dogs, but I am wondering if its a scam? I am really interested in buying an older yorkie with show potiential, but I want to make sure the breeder is ligit. Any reason why I should be cautious of this kennel? Also, one more question, how much is shipping costs from Hungary? Anyone have any ideas? Do the dogs need to be quarantined when they get to the states? I dont want any dog to go through that. |

I couldn't access that site. If it were me...I would search elsewhere....the RED FLAGfor me is the puppy is coming from Hungary..There probably isn't a puppy at all...They will take your money and run and you will never get it back. These people are notorious for scams like this. Sometimes cheaper isn't better. I would stay local if I were you or, we have a few members who have babies right now. I would check with them. jmo |
I just went to the page and on the main page it says: "Last update: 20.11.2005. New Puppies for sale!!" Did they just forget to update the update, put in the wrong year or has it not been updated in 2 years? |

I have never had a breeder to take the money and not send the dog. I would do a bank wire direct from your bank account to their bank. I would not use the bank wire services they are too costly to wire money that way our bank charges $30 to do a wire to europe that is a very good rate. Do you realize the currency difference now is very bad right now. You can search for currency converter to convert the money to see exactly what the american dollar will be for your purchase. Also shipping a few years ago ran approx $600.00 If you are buying a dog from Hungary or anywhere abroad I would have them to send some pics of the pup in natural stances. They tend to stretch them out so bad when posing for pics that you cannot get a good idea of the Real topline and reach of neck. Also get some pics of the face from just natural poses so you can see the faces better. Best of luck Deana Prestigeous |
I would be afraid to buy a pup from so far away. I don't know if they get quarantined or not, but I'd check into it first. |
Most of the time coming from Hungary you will have a shipper that flies with them. The pups have to clear thru customs, that sometimes takes an hour or so. They have to fly to an International Airport because of customs. Deana Prestigeous |
Shipper that flies with the dog? Hmm....Ive heard of many people importing with great success, basically what I am looking for is for anyone directly doing business with Happyblue, good or bad. You can pm me or put it up here on the board if you like. Just looking for direct experiences. |
I see this breeder has at least two from them http://karabellgroup.com/index.php/Y...ers/dogsmales/ Deana Prestigeous |
I noticed that none of the dogs that Karabel has from Happy Blue have cleared in the face. If you are wanting a show dog you need to watch out for that as the judges are really on the color thing right now. I noticed all of their females are really small too! |
I am not quite sure that the first one was fully mature in that pic. The second one I don't think is a Happy Blue dog. I don't know what the age are of this persons dogs, I just noticed she has Happy Blue lines. The third one is and its a pup for sure in those pics. Deana Prestigeous |
Thanks for the link Deana. Looks like they havent updated the pictures in a while. The puppy was born in 06 so I am sure she is much bigger by now. Sorry but I am not use what "cleared in the face" means exactly. Can someone explain this to me a bit? Ive been emailing Krisztina back and forth and shes been great so far. I havent heard anything bad about the kennel so far. |
I am pretty sure I know, but I want to make sure lol. :D |
The topknot that is completely tan/gold is cleared. The topknot with the intermingling black in it is what they call a thumbprint. I haven't heard anything either way on this kennel good or bad. Deana Prestigeous |
Thank you! I wrote Robin from Karabell Yorkshire Terriers and she told me her dealings with her were positive and she recommends her. Just to let others know in case they were wondering. So far so good. |
Thats great news for you. Let us know if you get one from them Deana Prestigeous |
