Wow..Wow..Wow...I just read through this thread and had my hand on my chest the first 4 pages!!! Kimberly, bless you and the fine work you do!!! You saved Hannah's life and lil Miracle too...The nurse in me wanted to know everything about this new drug Nexcal..this is a potent potent drug..I am so glad you posted this thread Kim so that everyone has the opportunity to educate themselves about this! This drug can cause transient and irrereversible bone marrow changes in dogs. Transient meaning it can appear and correct itself after treatment, and irreversible meaning never correct itself... Bone marrow is where red blood cells are formed and most clotting factors in the blood, thus causing anemia and could cause a dog to "bleed out" if there was ever an injury, surgery, cut ect. I would absolutely say no to this one...There are many safer antbx out there to use. I wonder why in these two cases here, the vets opted to use a combination drug treatment?? If it were a life threatening situation and nothing else had worked, it would be understandable...but..dang..What a blessing to know they are all doing better! Thank-you Kim and Mary for all of your education you ad to this board...we are blessed to have you! Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year from Texas!!! |

What can I say....little Miracle is just the most precious little girl...That face, that everything!!! I just wish you were closer so I could love on her.. |
She is so precious. I am so glad that things have turned out for her the way they have. Thank you again for sharing her story with us and taking the time to share this situation with us all so that we can learn from what you have gone through as well. It warms my heart to see how many people have shared in the journey that this sweet little Miracle has taken. As for the fact that those who've followed the story have been called 'idiots' and it said that we 'just don't care' about the well being of Yorkies as I was recently informed....well, all I can do is laugh at that. I just have to wonder why a bunch of people who have such a negative view on members of YT and what goes on here spend so much time obsessing over what they read here...hmmm. This story has waaaaay to happy of an ending to be tarnished by a bunch of sad, attention deprived people who have nothing better to do with their lives. For Pete's Sake people, it's Christmas...spend it doing something positive and constructive!:xmastree: :grinhat: Kim--the time and dedication and tears you have put into helping this little girl and her momma survive this horrible ordeal is all the proof needed to indicate what kind of breeder you are. It's a story that speaks for itself. Any dime-a-dozen miller wouldn't have taken the time to give this girl a second thought and would have cut their losses and let her and Hannah die. It's clear to anyone which path you've chosen to take as a breeder.:D  |
She truly is adorable! |
I was just hoping there would be an update on this baby!!! She is so so precious...is that a baby stack going on in those pics???:D She is going to make you proud Kimberly..not that she already hasn't.....How is Hannah doing?? |

Misty, What beautiful words and a tribute to Kim.....no one should have anything negative to say if they knew first hand, the countless days with no sleep, worry, tears, let alone the time and money she spent at the vet's doing everything she could to keep Hannah and her baby alive. Yes Sir, I'm with Kim.....I would just "Spit" in someone's eye if I heard anything negative being said. As I've always said; people have no right to talk unless they see things first hand...... |
