anyone know about this show breeder? http://www.markaysyorkies.com/Puppies.html she seem to be really nice on the phone, i have talked to her in the past also and have felt comfortable, but does anyone know about her dogs and or breeding? |
I never heard of her but went to the link you posted. I would wonder why she does not show her females and why does she have dogs in California. Why is she only showing pictures of her best stud. he does have a great pedigree tho. JMO, I would be careful. |
I have never heard of them either. I also have never seen them in the YT magazine that I remember. They dont seem to have any champions in the 28 years of showing>?? I might be a little cautious. |
That website raised some red flags for me. If she is a show breeder, why doesn't she have any pictures of her dogs in the ring? The biggest red flag for me, though, was that she used the word "teacup" to advertise her puppies. If she is a show breeder, she should certainly be aware of the fact that there is no such thing as a "teacup" Yorkie. She seems to stress how tiny her puppies are, too, another red flag. Are the three she posted pedigrees of her only Yorkies or, as Sugar's Mom said, are they just the ones with the nicest pedigrees? |
Tweety and twister are the parents, from what she said and if you click on them at the top is shows the pedigree. but i will look into this more. i just have been looking and talking to her off and on for a couple of years and wanted opinions because she is only about 7 hous away and i can drive to see her puppies. in the about us she does have pics weather they are hers or not i dont know. thats why i am asking. |
google her... See what info shows up. Check the BBB. Your gut seems to be telling you to be cautious..listen to it. Good luck. |
I can't say that I would trust this one. As someone that has "raised and shown Yorkshire Terriers for 28 years" she should know better than to let them go at 8 weeks. She's also advertising Christmas babies. I don't have any pictures of me showing on my website simply because I haven't gotten any decent ones! So, I won't look down on them completely for that. However, after 28 yrs. I would hope that they have more to talk about. You might ask her how many CH. she has finished. |
