milk? should I be seeing her milk in her nipples, or dose the milk come in after the births? I have wiped some white looking snot out of her pee pee area just awhile ago. She threw up some cottage cheese and she has been licking her privates. COME ON BABY, LETS HAVE THEM PUPPIES!!!!!!! |
You should be able to squeeze some milk out around 4 or 5 days before she delivers. It will start to come out easier after she delivers though. |
Yes, please, let's finally meet those puppies! I never really checked for milk, but I'm sure it's coming in by now. With the signs you mentioned I'd say puppies might be arriving soon and I wouldn't let her out of your sight. Watch for the shivering....don't know if it happens to all moms in labor, but when I saw it with Lexie 5 weeks ago, I knew it was time! Good Luck, I'll be watching. |
Temp is 98.2, no shivering yet. |

Just checking in, looking for posts about new pups. :) |
I love puppy watch!! I'll keep checking back! Good luck!!:p :D |
no new signs. this is such a bummer! |
I have to go out of town tomorrow so she will have to wait until Monday! |
If there is no milk now, there is colostrum which is what the puppies need. The milk will come down after she whelps. just make sure to weigh them the first few days to make sure they are gaining. |
milk I have gotten my shirt wet when holding some from the gush of milk...others are bone dry and it is hard to squeeze a drop out... |

Don't worry about the milk yet...some have milk up to a week before, some won't have it until after delivery and some will not even have milk for a few hours after delivery so don't freak out if there isn't any until then. You are just going to want to make sure that milk comes in! If not, you are going to be one busy lady!! We just call our vet when labor starts so if anything comes up they are ready. I am a worrier so I always keep them on stand by! If you see two bags at the same time coming out - get her to the vet - don't let them tell you to wait. It doesn't happen a lot, but we have had it in our last two litters where two puppies are trying to come out at the same time and that stops labor. Good luck and keep us all updated!!! |
YEAH!!!! Puppy Watch!!! Come on Baby!!! |
