How does your mom act... A few days before they go into labor? Baby is up and down, up and down. She has been wanting to go out and potty about every hour. She still is eating. No vomiting, no diarrhea, no nesting. She keeps trying to get to her bottom end, I'm not sure if she is biting at her leg or her baby area. I see pup moving down at the bottom of her tummy towards her private. Today is day 58 and her temp was 98.4 this morning. But her temps has been up and down. Highest has been 99.4 and lowest has been 98.3 |
Usually when transitioning from stage 1 labor to stage 2 labor they will squat often in an attempt to pee. This is because as the pup moves down the birth canal they put pressure on the bladder and often the colon. I wouldn't leave her today just in case. Remi doesn't nest until she starts to push and she ate 2 hours before her first pup was delivered. She doesn't get sick or anything, just stays very quiet until she panics and wants in the whelping box. Once there she pushes and nests in between contractions. |
Generally mine becomes very reclusive and quiet and doesn't want to eat about 24 hours prior to whelp. Do you have her 'quiet spot' ready for her yet? Start watching for her to seek a dark, private area--which may NOT be where you want her to go. |

With the anticipation, you must feel like a kid at Christmas! Can't wait to see those babies. :p |
Well maybe that is a good sign her temp was up maybe a good spike then a good drop. |

Finally I got her to eat about 2 tsp of vanilla yogurt. she went and hid under my bed and she never goes under my bed. So just maybe she will go sometime today or tonight! |
